    Notes:

    There passed away at her late home on Friday evening Margaret Doerr, beloved wife of Mr. Adam Doerr, after attaining the age of 74 years. The deceased (nee Margaret Schwalm) was born in Germany and when about 15 years of age she came to this country, where she was married a few years later to John Dahmer of this village. Their union was blessed with three children, John, Ernst and Martin. Ernst, a lad of nine years, died in 1884 and in 1896 the father also passed away while John of this village and Martin of Oshawa are left to mourn the death of a kind and loving mother. Late in 1896 she was again married to J. Braun who died in 1905 and in 1909 she was married to the surviving husband, Adam Doerr. There also survive a number of step-sons and daughters. Since her marriage the departed had lived here continuously and during this time she made a host of friends and gained the respect of all who will sorely miss her and who sympathize with the bereaved ones in their hour of sorrow.

    The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon and was attended by a large circle of friends who came to pay a last tribute of respect. A short service was held at the house after which the remains were taken to the Lutheran church where the service was held, burial then taking place on the adjoining cemetery. Rev. C. Zarnke conducted the service.

    The death occurred at Conestogo last night of Mrs. Adam Doerr in her 75th year. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the family residence in Conestogo, to the Lutheran church and cemetery.
