    At Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, on Monday, March 27, 1978, Martha Bolender, formerly of 20 Delisle Ave., Kitchener, age 87 years.

    A member of Sacred Heart RC Church, the altar and rosary society of the church and an honorary member of the CWL of St. Mary's RC Church. Mrs. Hoch was a charter member of the Silver Cross Mothers.

    Wife of the late Michael Hoch; mother of Bruce of Kitchener; sister of Mrs. Sarah Biesel of Elmira, Mrs. Margaret Snyder of Brampton and Mrs. Minnie Martin of Kitchener; 10 grandchildren also survive. She was predeceased by two sons, George and Gerald, and one daughter, Olive Rudow.

    Friends called at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. Prayers were said at the funeral home, Thursday, at 9:30 a.m., followed by funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, at 10 a.m. Interment Mount Hope cemetery, Kitchener.

    Martha married Michael Jerome "Mike" Hoch 20 Oct 1914, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Michael (son of Francois A. “Anthony” Hoch and Maria A. "Mary" Wagner) was born 29 Sep 1889, Formosa, Culross Twp., Bruce Co., Ontario, Canada; died 18 May 1963, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Mount Hope Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.
