    Notes:

    Snyder - Bro. Ira Snyder of near Pigeon, Mich., died March 14, 1909, of appendicitis; aged 29y. 2m. 21d. He was married to sister Anna Schaaf in December 1907. He leaves his sorrowing wife, infant daughter, 4 brothers and 4 sisters to mourn his departure, but they need not mourn as those without hope. He was taken ill suddenly about four days before his death and was removed to the Saginaw Hospital where he underwent an operation and died there. His remains were brought to the home of his father-in-law, Andrew Schaaf. Funeral was held Mar. 17, at the Mennonite Church at Berne. Bro. Peter Ropp preached in German, taking for his text, Psa. 16: 6, and Preacher Dodd of Elkton in English, taking the text, Eccl. 9: 10.He was a member of the Mennonite church, also Asst. supt. And teacher in our Sunday school where he will be greatly missed. May God comfort the sorrowing ones.
