    On Monday, October 24, 1977, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness, Kenard Snider, age 82 years, of 772 Hidden Valley Rd., Kitchener. Husband of Hilda Moyer; father of Harold and Norman, both of Kitchener; grandfather of Sherd and Kenneth, both of Kitchener; brother of Clifford, of Kitchener, Lloyd of Atwood, Irene (Mrs. Edgar Musselman) and Arabelle (Mrs. Henry Wideman), both of Cambridge; predeceased by his father, Nathaniel Snider, his mother the former Melinda Wismer; a sister, Grace and two brothers, Roy and Elmer. He was a member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, Kitchener, resided and farmed at his present address, for the past 53 years. Served on the former Parkway school board and then on the former Waterloo Township council for many years. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening, until noon on Wednesday, then at the Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, for the funeral service, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Rev. Ron Rempel will officiate. Interment will be made in Hagey Mennonite cemetery.

    Musselman, Irene, daughter of Nathaniel and Malinda Snider, was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., Aug. 30, 1901; died at Fairview Mennonite Home on Jan. 21, 1982; aged 80 y. She was married to Edgar Musselman, who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1979. Surviving are one son (Elmer), 3 daughters (Helen-Mrs. Mearl Steckley, Nelda-Mrs. Ralph Shantz, and Arlene-Mrs. James Burnett), 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers (Clifford and Lloyd), and one sister (Arabelle-Mrs. Henry Wideman). She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and one sister. She was a member of Preston Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Jan. 24, in charge of Willis Breckbill and Rufus Jutzi; interment in Hagey Cemetery.

    SNIDER, Clifford - 1903 - 2006. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge at the age of 103. Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Brubacher) Snider of Cambridge. Loved father of Clifford Snider Jr. (Vivian) of P.E.I., John Snider (Vera) of Ayr, Grace Tomlinson (David) of Cambridge, Mary Jewitt-Shantz (Bernie) of New Hamburg, and Barbara Klaver (John) of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Loving brother of Lloyd Snider and Arabelle Wideman. Brother-in-law of Nora (Leonard) Bechtel and Verna Staniek. Predeceased by his first wife Ella (nee Litwiller) Snider (1976), daughter-in-law, Ethel Snider and son-in-law, Ervin Jewitt, his parents Nathaniel and Melinda (Wismer) Snider, and his brothers and sisters, Roy, Kenard, Elmer, Irene, and Grace. Clifford was a faithful member of First Mennonite Church. For many years, Clifford farmed at St. Agatha, Strasburg and the surrounding area until he was 89 years old. He loved gardening, farming and traveling with Elaine. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Clifford's family tonight (Thursday, December 21, 2006) from 7-9 PM, and on Friday, December 22, 2006 from 7-9 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener and also from 2-4 Friday, December 22, 2006 at the Fairview Mennonite Home Auditorium, 515 Langs Dr. Cambridge. The Funeral Service for Clifford will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E. Kitchener followed by a reception. Beloved husband of the late Vera (Groff) Snider. Dear father of Paul and Esther Snider of RR 1, Atwood. Grandfather of Anita and Ken Carter of RR 1, Newton, and Michael and JoAnne Snider of RR 1, Atwood. Great-grandfather of Danielle and Jordan Carter, and Mitchell and Abbi Snider. Brother of Arabelle Wideman, and brother-in-law of Elaine Snider and Reta Groff, all of Cambridge. Also survived by his foster children, Elizabeth and Laverne Martin of Waterloo, and Robert and Bea Davidson of Paisley. Predeceased by his brothers, Roy, Kenard, Elmer, and Clifford Snider, and by his sisters, Irene Musselman and Grace Snider.     Snider. - Grace Magdalena, beloved daughter of Nathaniel and Malinda Snider, was born August 19, 1907, at Preston, Ont.; died at the home of her parents at Strasburg, Ont., on May 12, 1926; aged 18 y. 9 m. 20 d. She had been ailing for about two years with nephritis, but her end came rather unexpectedly. She leaves her sorrowing parents, two sisters, four brothers, and a host of friends. One brother predeceased her 27 years ago in early childhood. Sister Grace united with the Mennonite Church at Strasburg nearly five years ago, and by her own testimony leaves the assurance that she was at peace with God and her fellowmen. She lived an exemplary Christian life. Her pleasant smile and cheerful attitude will always be cherished by all who knew her. Funeral services were held May 15, at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, by Jesse B. Martin and C. F. Derstine.

    Harold Sherwood - Of Listowel and formerly of RR2 Atwood, on Friday April 2, 2004 in his 80th year. Harold was born in German Mills, Ontario on August 12, 1924 to parents Kenard Snider and Hilda Moyer. He was married to the former Florence Jewitt, who predeceased him in October 2001. Beloved uncle of Sherri Snider of Sedan and Kenneth (Connie) Snider of Kitchener. Harold is also survived by brother-in-law Clayton (Jean) Jewitt, sisters-in-law Shirley Jewitt and Mary Jewitt, all of Waterloo, Edith Sider of Listowel, Mildred Schaffer of Indiana, Barbara Radditz of Kitchener, Alene Jewitt of Teviotdale and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, brother Norman (Irene) Snider, brothers in-law Howard Jewitt, Ervin Jewitt, Harold Sider and Earl Schaffer. Visitation at the Listowel Mennonite Church, 465 Maitland Ave. S., Listowel on Saturday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m where the funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Community as expressions of sympathy.
