He served as sergeant in the Second World War with the Argyle-Sutherland Regiment. Beloved husband of Grace (Peggy); loving father of David Paul and his wife Lois of Stouffville, Mary Ann Hirons and Peter Caskenette, Sandra Ellis and Michael Coleman, all of Kitchener; dear brother of Rita Malleck of Petersburg and Betty DeLapo of Buffalo, N.Y. and Verna McFarlane of Lanark, Ont.
