    Funeral service was conducted Friday at St. Louis RC Church, Waterloo, for Roy Heimpel. He died Thursday at his Waterloo home, at the age of 62. Burial was in St. Agatha RC Cemetery.

    He was the husband of the former Laura Beaupre; father of Ray of Kitchener, Harold of Waterloo, Joyce (Mrs. Jacob Straus) of St. Agatha, Joan (Mrs. Wilbert Koebel) of St. Clements; brother of Percy of Waterloo, Howard of Heidelberg, and Roxie (Mrs. Walter Good) of Kitchener; grandfather of 13. He was predeceased by a son, Paul, and two sisters.

    MISS EDITH HEIMPEL

    The funeral of Miss Edith Heimpel of Heidelberg, victim of an auto accident one work ago today, was held yesterday and was largely attended. The funeral was held from the Letter and Dreisinger funeral home in Waterloo to the Lutheran church at Heidelberg where services were held. Burial was made in the Heidelberg cemetery.

    Pall benzers were six cousins of the deceased, Clayton Kroutswelser, William Hahn. Karl Peppler, Lloyd Pappler. Nelson Heimpel and Clayton Heimpel.

    INQUEST JURY PLACES ALL BLAME FOR EDITH HEIMPEL DEATH ON DRIVER OF CAR

    Jury Finds That Edgar Reidel, Driver of Wm. Koebel's Car at Time of Accident, Was Rendered Incompetent to Drive Through Use of Intoxicants-Deceased's Brother Testifies That Four Companions of Sister Were Intoxicated, but Claims Reidel Most Competent to Drive.-Death Car Was in Poor Mechanical Condition, Evidence Shows.

    The coroner's jury empanelled to enquire into the death of Edith Helmpel in a car accident on the Wagner's Corner-St. Clements high-wound below the right eye which way shortly after midnight on the night of February 17, attached all blame for the fatal happening to the driver of the car, Edgar Reidel of St. Clements. The verdict of the coroner's jury which was handed down after forty minutes deliberation at the conclusion of the inquest on Tuesday afternoon ...

    EDITH HEIMPEL SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES

    Dies Four Days After Receiving Injuries in Car Accident.

    Badly injured about the head, and suffering from internal injuries besides other wounds, Edith Heimpel, of Heidelberg passed away in the K.-W. Hospital on Friday, four days after the accident on the Heidelberg - St. Clements highway. Edgar Reidel, driver of the car, in which Miss Heimpel was a passenger, who was arrested after the accident, was released on a $1,000 bail, charged with criminal negligence.

    According to the account given out by the police, Reidel, who was driving the car, owned by William Koebel of St. Clements, clipped off a rural mail box and then turned over in the ditch. Deceased was employed. in the home of Carl Damman, who also passed away last week. The victim of the accident is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Heimpel, two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Dietrich of Waterloo, and Roxie at home, three brothers, Roy of Water- loo and Percy and Howard at home. The funeral, which was largely at tended, was held on Sunday at the St. Peter's Lutheran church in Heidelberg, Interment taking place in the Heidelberg cemetery. Pall bearers were six cousins of the deceased, Clayton Kreutzwelser, William Rohn, Earl Peppler, Lloyd Peppler, Nelson Heimpel and Clayton Heimpel.

    Survived by his wife the former Elma Rabethge; his two daughters, Janice (Mrs. Gary Brown) of Waterloo and Lois of Kitchener; his two sons, Brian of Kitchener and Randy at home; his three grandchildren, his sister Roxie (Mrs. Walter Good) of Kitchener and his brother Percy of Waterloo. Predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Heimpel, his brother Roy and his two sisters, Edith and Esther.

    He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hei- delberg, and had been employed as a mechanic until his retirement two years ago.
    Friends may call at the Ratz- Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. this evening, until noon on Friday, then at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, for the funeral and committal service at 2:30 p.m. Rev.     THOMAS, JEAN MARY

    Passed away peacefully, at The Westmount Long Term Care Centre, on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the age of 87 years.

    Jean is survived by her three children, Debby (Dave) Grenfell, Cindy (Bill) Dubrick and Dan (Nan) Thomas, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by her husband Murray in 2006, her parents Alfred and Esther (nee Heimpel) Dietrich, her two brothers Bill and Don and her sister Marlene in infancy.

    Jean had a career as a Dental Assistant and enjoyed her time volunteering in a nursery school for children with special needs. Jean's family meant the world to her and she will be greatly missed.

    A celebration of Jean's life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, Fireside Reception Room, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 3 \endash 5 pm. Cremation will have taken place and condolences for the family and donations to the Alzheimer's Society may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.

    Debby Katherine Grenfell, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, May 30, 2019. She was 68.

    Born in Waterloo, Ontario, on April 28, 1951, to the late Murray and Jean (nee Dietrich) Thomas. Debby enjoyed her time working as the night school co-ordinator for the Bluewater District School Board for 20+ years. She then moved on to be secretary for St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church in Hanover, dedicating 17 years of service before retirement. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed knitting and sewing and was a member of the ladies quilting circle. She loved spending time with her loving family, and was very generous with her spare time as well, volunteering at Hanover and District Hospital in the gift shop, with the ELW at her church, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, and with many other groups in the community. She also enjoyed participating in Aquafit and Swing bowling.

    Survived by loving husband David Grenfell of Hanover. Dear mother of Tracy Grenfell (Rob El-Sayed) of Caledon, and Alison (Kyle) Wilkie of Oakville. Cherished grandma of Adham, Zachary, Mahdi, Maya, and Nolan. Fondly remembered by brother Dan (Nan) Thomas of Oshawa, and Cindy (Bill) Dubrick of Waterloo. Predeceased by her parents.

    A Memorial Visitation will be held at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Hanover, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 10:00-11:00 am, where a Memorial Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am. Rev. John Polacok officiating.

    Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
