    Noah S. Shantz, "was born December 12th, 1848. He was married, December 24th, 1876, to Nancy, daughter of Michael and Mary (Musselman) Mosser. She was born April 6th, 1855. They reside near Crosshill where he is engaged in farming. To them were born the following children".

    Shantz. - Noah Shantz was born Dec. 12, 1848, near Baden, Ont.; died at his home, Waterloo, Ont., Dec. 3, 1939; aged 90 y. 11 m. 21 d. He was married to Nancy Moser in 1876. He is survived by his beloved wife, 5 children (Allen of Kitchener, Mrs. Ed Diebel of Jordan, Mrs. Allen Cassel at home, Mrs. Herb Sengbush of Toronto, Mrs. Roy Tethbridge of Brantford), 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Four sons and 1 daughter predeceased him. He was a member of the Mennonite Church. "Blessed are the dead who die in the lord." Funeral services were held in Erb St. Mennonite Church, in charge of Brethren J. B. Martin and Jonas Snider. Text, Phil 3: 10-14. Burial in the Shantz Cemetery.

    PENNY, Phyllis Rosetta Passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Grand River Hospital, in her 94th year. Phyllis (Shantz) Penny, of Elmira, was the beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Penny (1986). Dear mother of Jim and Dia of Kitchener, and MaryLou and Rudi Remers of Port Franks. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alicia (Andrew) Bennett and Brenda Penny (Chris Roth), and by her four great-grand- children Nolan and Aiden; Claire and Zach. Sister of Ruth and Ross Simpson of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents Allen and Luella (Knorr) Shantz, and by her son Thomas in infancy. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 2-5 p.m. and Monday, March 21, 2016 from 10-10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A reception will take place after the service. In Phyllis's memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or St. James Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
