Obituary of Delores Martin

Martin, Delores L. ~ Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Leisureworld Care Centre, Elmira. Delores (Snyder) Martin, at the age of 86 years, was formerly of St. Jacobs. Beloved wife of the late Oscar B. Martin (March 2012). Dear mother of Brian John and Judith Martin of Waterloo. Also lovingly remembered by her grandson Kyle William Martin of St. Jacobs. Sister of Lorraine and Ron Preiss of Waterloo. Predeceased by her parents John B. and Edna (Harris) Snyder. Delores was a longtime employee of Home Hardware, St. Jacobs, starting off as secretary to Walter Hachborn and ending her career as a houseware buyer. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs. At her request cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. A family graveside service will take place at St. James Lutheran Cemetery, St. Jacobs, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs, would be appreciated and may be obtained by calling the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira (519-669-2207). A special thank you to all the nursing staff at Pheasant Run of Leisureworld for their exceptional loving care of Delores.
