    Homer Snyder, 66, RR1 Baden, well known Wilmot Tp. farmer, died at KW Hospital Sat. afternoon following a brief illness. Born June 7, 1886 in Wilmot Tp., he was the s/o the late Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Snyder. He married Annie Kennell at Shakespeare March 28, 1917. She survives withone son, Ward Snyder, Kitchener. One daughter, Mrs. Howard Shantz,predeceased him July 14, 1952. Also surviving are two brothers, Edgar, Baden; Harley, Glendale, Calif.;three sisters, Mrs. Walter Holwell, Mrs. Clara Schmidt, both of Baden,and Mrs. Percy Hofstetter, Plattsville. He leaves five grandsons......

    Homer Snyder, 66, RR2 Baden, who died at KW Hospital Sat. after a brief illness, is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ephraim Snyder. Yesterday's obituary listed her as being dead.

    Homer Snyder

    Following a brief illness, Homer Snyder of R.R. 2, Baden, passed away at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital last Saturday afternoon, at the age of 66 years. The deceased was a son of Mrs. Ephraim Snyder and the late Mr. Snyder and was born in Wilmot Twp. on June 7th, 1886. Following his marriage to Annie Kennel of Shakespeare on March 28, 1917, he resided on Erb's Road, north-east of Baden. He is survived by his widow, and one son, Ward, of Kitchener, and his mother. A daughter. Mrs. Howard (Hilda) Shantz, predeceased him in July of this year.

    Also surviving are two brothers, Edgar, Baden; Harley, Glendale, Cal., three sisters, Mrs. Walter Holwell, Mrs. Clara Schmidt; both of Baden, and Mrs. Percy Hofstetter, Plattsville. He leaves five grandsons.

    Funeral services were held at the Shantz Mennonite Church, north of Baden on Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Bruce Amy, pastor of Lisbon Evangelical-United Brethren Church, of which deceased was a member. Burial was made in the Lisbon Church cemetery.

    SNYDER, Ward Laverne - Passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2006, at A.R. Goudie, Eventide Home, Kitchener. Ward resided in Kitchener and was formerly of Baden. He was born 86 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of the late Homer and Annie (Kennel) Snyder. Ward was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Kitchener. Beloved husband of Leona (Becker) Snyder whom he married October 20, 1945. Dear father of Donald and wife Carol Snyder of Mississauga, Kenneth and wife Sheila Snyder of Baden, Lloyd Snyder and Reta of Guelph, Shirley Snyder Moore and husband Stephen Moore of Burlington. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Michelle Snyder and friend Trevor, Carolle and Robert Hilton, Derek and Kelly Snyder, Tricia and Stephen Preston, Jennifer Scott, and his great-grandchildren Brooke, Ashley and Rachel Hilton and Aaron Snyder. Ward was predeceased by a sister Hilda and husband Howard Shantz. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Sunday, June 4, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The visitation will continue on Monday, June 5, 2006 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 54 Benton Street, Kitchener from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Malina officiating. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Eventide Home, St. Matthews Lutheran Church or the Parkinson's Foundation.
