    REITZ, J. Bradley 'Brad'

The family of Brad Reitz sadly announces that he died at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on November 17, 2021.

Brad was born and raised in Waterloo, the youngest of four children of Alex and Patricia (d. 2017). He was the loved brother David of Waterloo, Tom of Cambridge, Janet Kaufman and husband Donald of Guelph and their family Mark and Meli, Sara and Jesse, Jennifer, Zoe, Maren and Tennessee.

Brad was fortunate to have a large circle of friends from his childhood days in Waterloo; undergraduate days at New College, University of Toronto; and colleagues in the legal profession. He enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a prosecutor with the Public Prosecution Service of Canada in Toronto from 1995-2019, followed by a time working on Criminal Code appeals with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. Brad's reputation with his colleagues, defence attorneys and judges alike was as a smart, patient and effective litigator. Friends and family appreciated his wit and keen sense of humour. Brad loved travelling with friends to numerous European destinations as well as cities in the U.S. to take in baseball games and music venues.

In keeping with Brad's wishes, cremation has taken place with burial to follow in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. A celebration of Brad's life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice Wellington or a charity of one's choice.

Condolences may be sent to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL in Guelph via the funeral home website at wallcustance.com.
