    Notes:

    Snyder, Dilman S., son of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Snyder, was born in Wilmot Twp., Out., April 22, 1879; died at Waterloo, Ont., Feb. 25, 1963; aged 83 y. 10 m. 3 d. In 1908 he was married to Ida Weber, who died in 1943. In 1946 he was married to Nora Hunsberger, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons and 2 daughters (John, Ralph, Vera-Mrs. Clayton Shantz, and Alice-Mrs. LeRoy Good), one brother (Herman), and 3 sisters (Barbara-Mrs. Nelson Shantz, Veronica-Mrs. Noah Snyder, and Annie). He was a member of the Shantz Church, where funeral services were held Feb. 28, in charge of Leslie Witmer.

    Dilman S. Snyder, 83, of 125 Erb St. West, Waterloo, died Feb. 25 at his home after a lengthy illness.

    He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John K. Snyder and a native of Wilmot Township. He farmed at RR 2, Baden, until his retirement in 1946 and had lived in Waterloo for the past 14 years.

    Mr, Snyder was a member of Shantz Mennonite Church, Baden.

    He married Ida Weber in 1908 and she died in 1943. He married Nora Hunsberger in 1946 and she survives.

    Also surviving are two sons, John W. of RR 2, Baden, and Ralph C. of Vineland; two daughters. Mrs. Clayton (Vera) Shantz and Mrs, LeRoy (Alice) Good of RR 2, Baden; a brother, Herman of Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Nelson (Barbara) Shantz of Elmira, Mrs. Noah (Veronica) Snyder and Annie of Waterloo, and 14 grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers predeceased him.

    Dilman married Ida Valina Weber 9 Sep 1908, Woolwich Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Ida (daughter of Samuel M. Weber and Susannah Shantz) was born 31 Aug 1885, Woolwich Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 26 Dec 1943, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Shantz's Meeting House Cemetery, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     SHANTZ, Vera Viola-Passed away, peacefully, on August 18, 1996, at noon, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, at the age of 82, after several months of heart and lung problems.

    Mrs. Shantz was a resident of Fairview Apartments in Cambridge.

    Beloved wife of Clayton who is also a resident of Fairview Apartments in Cambridge. Precious mother of Carol and her husband Ernie Martin of Elora, Ray Shantz and his wife Marlene of Milverton, Dianne and her husband Doug Roeder of Ayr, Lynn and her husband Al Stager of Dorchester; special mom to Alvin Thrush and his wife Betty of Calgary. Survived by her brother, Ralph Snyder and his wife Eileen of Vineland Station; sisters-in-law, Mabel Snyder of New Hamburg, Vinetta Witmer of Cambridge, Dorothy Snyder of Kitchener; brother-in-law, Leroy Good of Baden. Predeceased by her brother, John W. Snyder (May, 1991); sister, Alice Good (January, 1982); in-laws, Leota and Ed Feick, Lloyd and Beatrice Shantz, Vernon Witmer, Ward and Mabel Shantz and two grandchildren, Chad Roeder in November, 1977 and Traci Stager in February, 1996. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Her generous deeds were appreciated by many who received her casseroles, salads and baked goods at many times during the year. She had a great love of flowers, quilting, gardening and ceramics.

    Friends may call at the Westmount Funeral Home and Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S., today (Monday), 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Pioneer Park Christian Fellowship Mennonite Church on Wednesday, August 21, 1996 at 2 p.m. Interment at the Shantz Mennonite Cemetery.
    Memorial donations may be made to Fairview Home Building Fund or Mennonite Central Committee.

    Vera married Clayton Arthur Shantz 24 Aug 1938. Clayton (son of Wendel R.     SNYDER, John W.\emdash On Sunday, May 12, 1991, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, John Snyder, of New Hamburg.
    He was born in Wilmot township 75 years ago, a son of the late Dilman Snyder and the former Ida Weber. He had farmed at RR 2, Baden until his retirement and was a member of Shantz Mennonite Church, RR 2, Baden, where he had been involved in the church activities all of his life. John was a member of the Gideons for over 20 years.
    Beloved husband of Mabel Yoder whom he married October 5, 1941. Lovingly remembered by his children, Paul and his wife Florence, James and his wife Mary Lou, J. Keith and his wife Patricia, all of RR 2, Baden, Mary Lou Baechler of New Hamburg, Nancy and her husband Roy Wilhelm of Waterloo. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren; one brother, Ralph and his wife Eileen of Vineland Station; one sister, Vera and her husband Clayton Shantz of Cambridge (P). John was predeceased by one sister, Alice (Mrs. LeRoy Good).
    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 2 p.m. Tuesday and until Thursday at noon, when transfer will be made to Shantz Mennonite Church for the service at 2:30 p.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Gideons or Shantz Mennonite Church.

    GOOD, ALICE BARBARA (SNYDER) On Thursday Jan, 14, 1982, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Mrs. Leroy Good, of RR 2, Baden, aged 64 years. She was a member of the Shantz Mennonite Church, RR 2, Baden. Beloved wife of Leroy, whom she married, June 28, 1941. Dear mother of Dale of Hagersville, Robert of London, Ont., and Carl of Toronto. Also surviving are five grandchildren; two brothers, John of New Hamburg and Ralph of Vineland and one sister, Vera (Mrs. Clayton Shantz) of New Dundee. She was predeceased by her parents, the late Dilman Snyder and the former Ida Weber and her step-mother, Nora Hunsberger. The late Mrs. Good is resting at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg Chapel, 291 Huron St., after 7 p.m. this evening and until 1 p.m. Sunday, when removal will be made to Shantz Mennonite Church, for service at 3 p.m., with Rev. Ed Kaufmann officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Shantz Church Building Fund, the Ontario Mennonite Missions, or the charity of one's choice.

    Good, Alice Barbara, daughter of Dilman and Ida (Weber) Snyder, was born at Baden, Ont., Nov. 14, 1917; died at Kitchener, Ont., Jan. 4, 1982; aged 64 y. On June 28, 1941, she was married to LeRoy Good, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Dale, Robert, and Carl), 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers (John and Ralph), and one sister (Vera-Mrs. Clayton Shantz). She was a member of Shantz Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Jan. 17, in charge of Edward Kauffman and Elmer Schwartzentruber; interment in Shantz Church Cemetery.

She died suddenly, at 16 years, in a car accident on Saturday, February 3, 1996 while travelling with her close friends. Beloved granddaughter of Fred and Janet Stager of RR 1, Ayr and Clayton and Vera Shantz of Cambridge. Traci's quote: "Smile, Heaven will be better than this."
