    KESSIG, Desmond Louis - Following a lengthy illness, at Maryhill Extended Care Centre. Maryhill, on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1990. age 86 years.

    Born in Waterloo. He was retired from Mutual Life after 25 years service. A member of St. Louis RC Church, participated in the church choir, belonged to the Holy Name Society and the Waterloo Musical Society Band.

    Beloved husband of Edna (nee Zettell; dear father of Wayne and his wife Carol of Kitchener and Pat and her husband Nick Zakutin of Breslau; brother of Vern of Welland. Survived by four grandchildren, Dan and Rosemarie Kessig and Kathryn and Dave Zakutin.

    Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Mary Kessig and a sister, Corinne.

    Mr. Kessig's family will receive friends at the Edward R Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Water-loo, today (Wednesday), 7-9 p.m. and Thursday. 2-4 and 7.9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m., with funeral mass to follow at St. Louis RC Church on Friday at 10 a.m., Father Peter Pigott officiating. Interment Mount Hope cemetery, Waterloo.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Waterloo Regional Lung Association or the Bolivian Missions, greatly appreciated. Parish prayers will be held Thursday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    WAYNE EDWARD KESSIG 1945 - 2006

    Passed away. peacefully, at home, with family by his side, on Friday, November 3. 2006 at the age of 61 years.

    Loving husband of Carol (nee Wey). Beloved father of Dan and his wife Lisa and Rose Binkley and her husband J.T. Proud grandfather of Natalie and Jack Binkley. Sadly missed by his sister, Pat Zakutin and her husband Nick. Predeceased by his parents Desmond and Edna Kessig. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends.

    The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to Barby Butts and Dr. Donna Ward, whose combination of compassion and professionalism helped ease everyone's burden on a challenging journey.

    Friends are invited to celebrate Wayne's life at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Tuesday. November 7, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be read at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Cristian [sic] Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 49 Blueridge Ave.. Kitchener. Ont. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev Joseph de Viveros as celebrant, assisted by Rev. Bernie Hayes, C.R. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. Following the committal service, friends and family are invited to gather at the Funeral Home's Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit.
