    CRESSMAN, Eloise Passed away peacefully at her residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg on February 7, 2014. She was born 95 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the daughter of the late Addis and Lizzie May (Erb) Cressman. Beloved wife of the late Zenas Cressman who pre-deceased her February 11, 1994. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Jean Swartzentruber of Cambridge, Joyce and Kaye Collard of Kitchener, Glen and Ruth Cressman, Lyle and Karen Cressman all of New Hamburg, Eileen and Willis Freeman of Drayton, Helen Cressman of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Remembered by her brother and sisters-in-law Willard and Beulah Cressman of New Hamburg and Lois Cressman of Waterloo. Eloise was predeceased by her son Kenneth Cressman, son-in-law Ray Swartzentruber, sisters Mabel Cressman, Erma and Orlan Snyder and brother Harold Cressman. Eloise was a member of Nith Valley Mennonite Church, New Hamburg and a former member of the WMSC. She had been a member of the Haysville Women's Institute and Haysville Sunshine Club. She made quilts for the Mennonite Relief Sale and many of her family. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private family interment will take place on Friday, February 14, 2014 prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Nith Valley Mennonite Church, New Hamburg with Pastors Hendrike and Matthew Isert Bender officiating. The family wishes to thank all the staff in the Nithview Community for their kindness, love and support shown to Eloise during her time at Nithview.     CRESSMAN, Mabel (1919-2008) - Passed away on Friday, October 17, 2008, at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo, at the age of 88 years. Dear sister of Eloise Cressman of New Hamburg, and Erma Snyder of Cambridge, Willard (Beulah) Cressman of New Hamburg and sister-in-law, Lois Cressman of Waterloo. Mabel is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Addis and Elizabeth Cressman; one brother, Harold Cressman; two brothers-in-law, Zenas Cressman and Orlan Snyder; and special friend, Karl Krueger. Miss Cressman was born in New Hamburg and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of Nith Valley Mennonite Church, and had been employed as a RNA at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for many years. Mabel was known for her music and crocheting, she also was an avid reader. The family wish to thank all the staff at Parkwood Mennonite Home for their kindness, love and support shown to Mabel in the last years of her life. The family will receive friends at the Nith Valley Mennonite Church, Walker Road, New Hamburg on Monday October 20, 2008 from 3 p.m. until Service time at 4 p.m. with Pastors Matthew and Hendrike Bender officiating.     NYDER, Erma Born March 31, 1922 in New Hamburg and died January 27, 2011 at Fairview Mennonite Home in Cambridge. Erma was the daughter of the late Addis and Lizzie May Erb Cressman. She was predeceased by her sister Mabel Cressman, her brother Harold and brother-in-law Zenus Cressman. Erma worked at Fairview Mennonite Home in the kitchen where she met widower Orlan Snyder who she married on July 9, 1977. She became step-mother to Aden (Verna) Snyder, the late Hettie (Carl) Sleeper, the late Melinda Utz and her late husband Michael, Mervin (Irene), the late Eileen Snyder, Vera (Stanley) Cressman, the late Cleason (Beatrice) Snyder, the late Laverne (Elisha) Snyder and the late Verna White and her late husband Bill. Orlan and Erma moved into a cottage at Fairview, were able to travel and Erma enjoyed gardening and photography. Erma and Orlan had 9 years together and after his death Erma moved into the apartment tower in Fairview where she was active in the Fairview choir and made many friends. In 2006 when her mobility deteriorated even more, Erma moved into the LTC section of Fairview. Her kind spirit will be missed by many staff who cared for her. Erma will be greatly missed by surviving siblings Eloise Cressman, Willard (Beulah), sister-in-law Lois Cressman and many nieces and nephews and their families. Also lovingly missed by surviving Snyder step-children Aden, Mervin and Vera, 40 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Erma's family will receive friends at Fairview Mennonite Home Auditorium (515 Langs Drive, Cambridge) on Friday, February 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Fairview Mennonite Auditorium at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. In memory of Erma, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee or Fairview Mennonite Home would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Barthel Funeral Home (519-653-3251).

    CRESSMAN, Willard Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 with family at his side at Grand River Hospital, Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener. Willard resided in New Hamburg and was born 89 years ago in Wilmot Township. He was the son of the late Addis and Lizzie Mae (Erb) Cressman. Beloved husband of Beulah (Snyder) Cressman with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage. Loving father of Gail Kromm and husband Volker of Thunder Bay, Stuart Cressman and partner Debbie Wilken of New Hamburg, Nancy Koebel and husband Ed of Stratford, Tricia Cressman of Paris. Sadly missed by his 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Remembered by his sisters-in-law Lois Cressman of Kitchener, Alice Snyder of New Hamburg, Nellie Martin of Elmira and Irene Snyder of Waterloo. Willard was predeceased by his sisters Eloise Cressman and husband Zenas, Mabel Cressman, Erma Snyder and husband Orlan, brother Harold Cressman and brothers-in-law John Snyder and Willis Martin. Willard was a member of Nith Valley Mennonite Church, New Hamburg and also the Haysville Sunshine Club and the Wilmot Seniors Woodworking Centre. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, (tonight) - Thursday, from 7-9 p.m. and again Friday, August 15, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. only. The burial will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10: 30 a.m. at Nith Valley Mennonite Cemetery. The memorial service to celebrate Willard's life will follow at 11: 00 a.m. at Nith Valley Mennonite Church. Pastors Hendrike and Matthew Isert Bender officiating.
