Passed away at Eventide Home, Cambridge, on Monday, Dec. 22, 1980, Robert G. Ford, formerly of RR 4, Cambridge, in his 91st year, Beloved husband of the late Mary J. Gillespie. Dear father of Margery (Mrs. Fred W. Perry) of Cambridge, Marion (Mrs. Alex M. Edgar) of RR I, Ayr and Robert E. of RR 4, Cambridge. Also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Ford was predeceased by four sisters. Resting at the Coutts & Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrew St., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends today, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal services will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 3 p.m. Interment, Mount View cemetery, Cambridge.

Margery Perry

Margery Evelyn Perry passed away peacefully at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, on Wednesday, March 19, 2003.

Margery was the daughter of Robert G. and Mary (Gillespie) Ford, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her first husband, John K. Rutherford in 1952 and her second husband, Fred W. Perry in 1981.

Survived by her sister, Marion Edgar, and her brother, Robert E. Ford and Marion; nieces and nephews: Jean Fraser, Larry Ford, Nancy Zincone, Carole and Lyle Edgar; great-nieces and nephews: Leanne McComb, Julie Firminger, Scott and Ryan Ford, Rachel, Clair and Michael Zincone and Greg, Rose, Mamie, Sarah and Emily Forte and Joan Edgar; great-great-nieces and nephews: Megan and Logan McComb and Tacoma and Trey Firminger; stepdaughter Pauline Williamson and stepsons: Jim, Jack and Frank Perry.

Margery grew up on the family farm in North Dumfries, and after John Rutherford's death, trained as a Registered Nursing Assistant and was employed at the Galt Memorial Hospital and Cambridge Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1986. For 31 years she enjoyed nursing. Her retirement years have been spent at Marsdale Retirement Home.

Mrs. Perry rested at Corbett Funeral Home, Cambridge where the funeral service was held on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 1: 00 pm, Rev. Merritt officiating.

EDGAR, Marion Jean - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2006, at Lisaard House after a brief battle with cancer. She was in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Alexander Edgar who predeceased her in 1997. Loving mother to Carol of Ottawa and Lyle and his wife Donna of Ayr. Beloved grandmother of Greg, Rose, Mamie, Sarah and Emily Forte and special grandmother of Joanie Edgar. She is also survived by her brother Robert Ford and his wife Marian of Cambridge; her in-laws, Jean and William Stager of Oakville, Dorothy and Clifford Scott of Chatham, Dr. Hugh and Margaret Edgar of London and Bob McLeod and Mary Ovington of Woodstock. Aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Robert G. and Mary Ford; her sister Margery Perry, and in-laws, John Rutherford, Fred Perry, Robert Edgar and his wife Jeanette and Marjorie McLeod. Marion grew up on the Ford farm, Greenfield Road and spent 49 years on the Edgar farm on Alps Road before moving to the Village Condominiums in Ayr. She was very active in many areas including Knox United Church, the Ladies Bowling League and various cards clubs. She was a dear friend and supporter of many. Friends will be received at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr, on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 (today) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. John McCauley officiating. Interment Ayr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Lisaard house would be greatly appreciated by her family (cards available from the funeral home) Wm. KIPP 442-3061.
