    Bearinger, Emma, was born June 27, 1924, near Elmira, Ont.; died very suddenly, Nov. 23, 1957, at the Hamilton General Hospital; aged 33 y. 4 m. 27 d. Death was caused by a ruptured main artery. In June 1949, she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and later in July, 1953, she dedicated her life to the Lord for full-time Christian service. On Dec. 18, 1954, she was united in marriage to Enos Bearinger, Elmira, Ont. In March, 1955, they moved to Hamilton, where they opened the Hamilton Harbour Rescue Mission in March, 1956. She leaves her husband, her parents (Mr. and Mrs. Menno Martin), 3 sons (Harvey, Oscar, and Luella-Mrs. John Zandwyk, both of Zurich, Ont.), 4 brothers (Albert, Harvey, Irvin, and Melvin, all of Zurich, Ont.), and a grandfather (John Steckley, Zurich, Ont.). Funeral services were conducted at the St. Jacobs Church with Paul Martin in charge. Interment in the St. Jacobs Cemetery.

    Ella was a Godly woman; compassionate, caring, nurturing, accepting, giving beyond herself. She had many friends and took an interest in people's lives, and many were remembered daily in her prayers.

    MARTIN, Leonard S. Peacefully passed away at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the age of 85 surrounded by his family. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Eileen of 62 years. Dear father to Rita (Merle) Shantz, Wilma (Murrel) Frey, Fern (Ron) Martin, Jean (Neil) Martin, Harold (Michelle), Larry (Sue), Ron (Sherri), Dale (Tanya), and Tim (Heather). Lovingly remembered by his 30 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Eldon (Beatrice), Verna (Rufus) Gingrich, Elsie (Laverne) Weber, and sisters-in-law Rebecca (the late Edgar) Martin and Wilma (the late Alvin) Martin.     She was born at the home where she died. She attended school in Elmira.

    Surviving besides her parents are four brothers, Lorne, Clare, Alvin and Cleon and one sister. Beatrice, all at home her maternal grand-rooter, Mrs. Alvin Martin, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Manasseh Martin.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. when removal was made to the home for the funeral at 1 p.m. Further service was conducted at North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
