    KNETCHEL- Clarence, At Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 9, 1988, Clarence Knetchel, in his 86th year.

    Loving husband of the late Goldie May Knetchel. Dearest father of Rufus and his wife Audrey Knetchel and Joe and his wife Barbara Knetchel, all of Ayr; loving grandfather of Barbara Gillespie and Pauline Mitchell, Steven and Terry Knetchel; six great-grandchildren; dear brother of Olivia Cober, Irene Tschumi and Myra Motherall, Richard and Joseph Knetchel; step-brother of Esther, Ruth and Ella and William, Jacob and Albert Knetchel. Predeceased by one step-sister, Agnes.

    Mr. Knetchel farmed and custom butchered at R.R. 2, Petersburg, until retiring when he moved to Ayr in 1968.

    The family will receive friends at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Otawa St. S. (at Westmount Road), Kitchener, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday), where service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Interment Mannheim cemetery, Rev. Robert Gates of United Brethren in Christ Church, New Dundee officiating.

    Clarence married Goldie May Mueller 10 Nov 1924, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Goldie (daughter of John Jacob "Jacob" Mueller and Priscilla Wanner) was born 10 Sep 1905, Preston (Cambridge), Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 28 May 1981, Ayr, North Dumfries Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     KNECHTEL, Rufus Calvan "PeeWee" of Ayr, passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday, October 4, 2015, at the age of 86 years. Cherished husband of Audrey (nee Armstrong). Loving father of Brenda Gillespie (Barry) and Pauline Shearer (Adrian). Beloved grandfather of Laura (Terry), Sarah (Anthony), Alison (Jonathan), Ashley (Dave), Russell (Kiela), Hayden (Jade) and Cole. Great-grandfather of Piper, Liam, Ophelia, Ronin, and Blake. Sadly missed by his brother Joe and his nephews Steve and Terry. Pre-deceased by his parents Clarence and Goldie Knechtel (nee Meuller). PeeWee began his lifelong career in trucking first for Elmer Poll. He then became a long time employee of McDonald Trucking which became Drumbo Transport, for whom he trucked for until retirement. Friends will be received at the Ayr Chapel of Wm. Kipp Funeral Home , 183 Northumberland Street, Ayr, on Wednesday, October 7th, for memorial visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held.
