MRS. FREDERICK EGERDEE - Mrs. Frederick Egerdee, 98, of New Dundee, well-known in the area, died yesterday at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital after a lengthy illness. The former Wilhelmine Honk she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Honk. Born in Germany deceased emigrated to this area when three years of age. The late Mrs. Egerdee was a member of St. James Lutheran church and the Lutheran Church Women. Her husband predeceased in 1952. Surviving are three sons, William H., RR 4, Kitchener, Gordon of Preston, Ernest of Galt; four daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Alvene) Schedler of Kitchener, Mrs. Martha Toman of Waterloo, Mrs. Bertha Boshart and Mrs. Milton (Marie) Weiss of New Dundee; a sister Mrs. Oliver (Hannah) Zinn, RR 1 Blair. There are 30 grandchildren, 82 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Thursday when removal will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, New Dundee, for service at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Rev. Oliver Reppo will officiate. Donations to the memorial fund of the church will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

Born in New Dundee, Sept. 30, 1882, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hank. She was a member of St. James' Lutheran Church, Mannheim. Her husband, Andrew, died in 1938. Survivors include two sons, Lincoln and Irvin, both of RR 2, Petersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Frederick Egerdee of New Dundee, Mrs. William Egerdee, RR 2, Petersburg; Mrs. Oliver Zinn of RR 1, Blair, and one grandson. Two sisters predeceased her. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Monday at 3: 30 pm by Walter E. Ludwig. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1968, and by five sisters. William H. Egerdee Passes - The funeral service was held at St. James' Lutheran Church last Tuesday afternoon for William H. Egerdee, the oldest member of the congregation who passed away Dec. 19th at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital aged 97 years. Rev. Douglas Reble officiated and interment was made in the New Dundee Union Cemetery. A former resident of this area, Mr. Egerdee operated a cider mill on the Huron Road for many years before retiring to Kitchener. He is survived by his wife, the former Madeline Schiebel; two sons, Frederick and his wife Rose of Milverton and Robert and his wife Lien of Victoria, B.C.; five daughters, Inez Surowic and her husband John of Sudbury, Muriel Zimmerman of Toronto, Bernice Rushton and her husband Gordon of California, Audrey Koegler and her husband Gerhard, RR 3, Thorndale and Donna Heimpel and her husband Robert of Kitchener; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a brother Ernest of Cambridge (Galt) and two sisters, Mrs. Alvena Schedler of Kitchener and Mrs. Bertha Boshart of New Hamburg. He was predeceased by his first wife Minnie Heimpel and his second wife Meta Annussat; his father, Frederick Egerdee and his mother the former Wilhelmina Hank who lived to be 99 years of age; a son and a daughter; a brother Gordon and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Toman and Mrs. Marie Weiss; a grandson John Koegler and one great-grandchild. She was born in Wilmot township a daughter of the late William and Eva (Hank) Egerde. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of the ELW, a member of the Social Committee, a member of the Trinity Quilting Group. She was also a member of the New Hamburg Women's Institute, a member of the Lawn Bowling League, a member of the Horticultural Club and a member of the 39 Plus Club, New Hamburg.
Beloved wife of Henry B. Bowman who predeceased her November 12, 1962. Loving mother of Doris and her husband Stanley Wagner of Haysville; dear grandmother of Nancy and David Brown of Kitchener, Brian and Beryl Wagner of Halifax, N.S., Darcy and Vanda Wagner, Marilyn and Bruce Battler, all of R.R. 2, New Hamburg; ever remembered by her great grandchildren, Karen and Kevin Brown, Amy, Dale, Julie and Lisa Battler, Katlyn, Troy, Gretchen and Carson Wagner. Sadly missed by her brother, John Egerde of Ayr and her sister-in-law, Cleo (Mrs. Albert Egerde) of New Dundee.
Hulda was predeceased by two sons, Wallace and Delmer; two brothers, Alvin and his wife Edith Egerde and Albert Egerde and two sisters, Alma and her husband, Solomon Bowman and Laura and her husband William Kurt.
Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Friday) from 3: 30-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Saturday, transfer will be made to Trinity Lutheran Church for the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Andre Lavergne officiating. Boshart, Kenneth - Passed away,at St. Mary's Hospital. On Sunday, April 11, 1999, after a brief illness, at the age of 78 years. He was born February 2, 1921, a son of the late Moses Boshart and former Bertha Egerdee. Beloved husband of the late Irene Marie Boshart (nee Kurt), who predeceased him in 1977. Loving father of Bill and Sharon of New Dundee, Linda Pierce and her friend Greg of Edmonton, Russ of Kitchener, Dan and Janet of RR 2, Baden and Shirley Gardner and her friend Dan of British Columbia. Sadly missed by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by one sister, Thelma Makcrow of Cambridge. Kenneth served overseas in the Second World War and was a member of the 12th Field Regiment Association. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, 742-4881 on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m., Rev. Brian Wilker officiating. Internment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 8-412 River Rd. Mrs. David Dyck of Warren, Mich., sister of Ivan of New Dundee, died on Monday of last week at Warren Hospital. She was 50.
The former Hulda Bowman, she was born Sept. 16, 1918, at New Dundee and was a daughter of Mrs. Solomon Bowman and the late Mr. Bowman.
Mrs. Dyck lived in the Twin City area until moving to Warren 10 years ago.
Rev. Donald Stewart conducted the service at St. Philips Church on Saturday.

WAGNER, Doris May (Bowman) - Died peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at her residence, Nithview Home, New Hamburg. Doris had lived in the New Hamburg area all of her life. She was born 80 years ago on December 31, 1925 in Wilmot Township, a daughter of the late Henry B. and Hulda (Egerde) Bowman. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. Doris had farmed with her husband Stanley, on the Wagner homestead, for many years, was an avid gardener and a life member of the Haysville Women's Institute. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Albert Wagner who predeceased her November 8, 1999. Loving mother of Nancy and David Brown of Kitchener, Brian and Beryl Wagner of Bedford, N.S., Darcy and Vanda Wagner, and Marilyn and Bruce Battler, all of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by grandchildren Karen and Chris Everett, Kevin Brown, Katlyn, Troy, Gretchen and Carson Wagner, Amy, Dale, Julie and Lisa Battler. Also remembered by sisters-in-law Margaret Ludolph and Martha Wagner, both of Kitchener as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by three children and two brothers in infancy as well as brothers-in-law Erhart Wagner, Clayton Wagner, Paul Ludolph and sister-in-law May Wagner. Husband of Miriam (Thibideau) whom he married on February 18, 1950. Dear father of Betty and her husband Bernard Fitzpatrick, John and his wife Beth, Katherine and her husband David Klein, all of Cambridge, Peter and his wife Susan of Waterford, Daniel and his wife Lynn of Cambridge, Colin and his wife Janice and Durham, Michael and his wife Lise and Darryl and his wife Beverly of Cambridge and dear Grampa of 18 grandchildren. Mr. Goodwin is survived by his two sisters, Beatrice Brown of New Dundee and Joyce Hopkins of Kitchener. He was also predeceased by is parents, James and Violet Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin is resting at Nelson Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge this evening from 7-9 pm (Monday) and from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at St. James' Lutheran church on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment at New Hope Cemetery.
