    CONRAD REIBLING

    Conrad Reibling, nearly 94 years of age, died at the home of his son, Conrad, near Philipsburg, Saturday.

    Surviving are six daughters and one son. They are: Mrs. Jacob (Elizabeth) Miller; Mrs. Henry (Mary) Heinbecker; Mrs. Robert (Bertha) King and Mrs. Jacob (Tillie) Kennel, all of Kitchener; Mrs. Charles (Ida) Otto of Burlington; Mrs. Lena Cathrea of Elmira; and Conrad, near Philipsburg. His wife predeceased him 23 years ago. He was also predeceased by a son and daughter.

    The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00p.m. at the home of his son, Conrad, thence to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, for further service. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Freidrichsen will be in charge.

    Mr. Conrad Reibling celebrated his 82nd birthday at the home of his son, near Philipsburg, on May 25th when all his children, grandchildren and great grand children and friends were present to spend with him a day on this happy occasion. Old and young enjoyed themselves in games and
    conversation. About 30 sat down to a sumptuous dinner and supper. All present wished Mr. Reibling the best of health and many more years of happiness.

    Conrad Reibling

    The death of a well known farmer of the Philipsburg district occurred last Saturday when Conrad Reibling passed away at the home of his son, Conrad, near Philipsburg, at the age of 94 years.

    Surviving are six daughters and one son, Mrs. Jacob (Elizabeth) Miller; Mrs. Henry (Mary) Heinbecker; Mrs. Robert (Bertha) King and Mrs. Jacob (Tillie) Kennel, all of Kitchener; Mrs. Chas. (Ida) Otto of Burlington; Mrs. Lena Cathrea of Elmira; and Conrad, near Philipsburg.

    His wife predeceased him 23 years ago, and a son and daughter predeceased him since.

    The funeral service was held at the home of his son, Conrad, on Tuesday afternoon to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg and interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. S. Friederichsen was in charge.

    Hilda was born in Wilmot Township 93 years ago. Daughter of the late Conrad Reibling and the late Matilda Heise. She was a member of 1st St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wellesley, where she was active with the Mary Martha Society. Hilda enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Wellesley Jolly Oldsters.

    Loving mother of Harold and his wife Doreen Wagner of New Hamburg, Irene Hofstetter of Wellesley, Audrey and her husband Peter Switzer of Stratford and Dorothy and her husband Merlyn Martin of RR 2, West Montrose; dear sister of Milton Reibling of RR 2, Baden; sister-in-law of Evelyn Reibling of New Hamburg. Lovingly remember by nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

    Predeceased by her husband, Philip Wagner, June 11, 1985; by two brothers, Herbert and Harry Reibling; also by two sisters, Emily Reibling and Elvera Witherall and a sister-in-law, Ruby Reibling; a brother-in-law, Richard Witherall and a son-in-law, Jack Hofstetter.

    REIBLING, Milton Passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Milton resided and farmed all his life at R.R. # 2 Baden. He was born 96 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of the late Conrad and Matilda (Heise) Reibling. Beloved husband of the late Ruby (Berg) Reibling who predeceased him November 13, 1980. Loving father of Douglas Reibling and Burton Reibling both of Baden. Missed by his sisters-in-law Evelyn Reibling of New Hamburg, Doris Berg of Kitchener and a number of nieces and nephews. Milton was predeceased by his brother Harry Reibling, sisters Hilda and husband Philip Wagner, Elvera and husband Richard Witherall, Emily in infancy and brothers-in-law Ralph Berg and Lloyd Berg. Milton was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. He enjoyed hunting and trapping. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A reception immediately after the service at the funeral home with interment to follow in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Philipsburg.     Mrs. Conrad K. Berg, 328 Huron St., New Hamburg, died on Wednesday of last week at her home. Mrs. Berg was 64 years of age.

    Born in New Hamburg, she was active in the community. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church Women, Nith Valley Order of the Eastern Star, the New Hamburg Women's Institute and the New Hamburg Lawn Bowling Club.

    The former Emma May Otto, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Otto and had lived in New Hamburg most of her life.

    Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Bowman, Sault Ste. Mane, Ont., and Mrs. Gordon (Marian) Hohner, Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Milton (Gertrude) Koch, RR 1, Gadshill, and Mrs. Martin (Betty) Wylie Oakville; and three grandchildren.

    Funeral service was conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, Rev. Norman Keffer officiating. Burial took place in Riverside cemetery.

    The Nith Valley Order of the Eastern Star conducted a memorial service at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home.

    Ernest Harry Rieck of Waterloo died at Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital on Monday at the age of 43 years, following a short illness. Deceased was a son of the late Rudolph Rieck and the former Bertha Reibling of New Hamburg, and was born here on Aug. 26, 1907. He married the former Doris Roy on May 23, 1941, at Montreal. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Robert, and a daughter, June, at home, two brothers, Lloyd and Clayton Rieck, Kitchener, and two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Violet) Rice and Mrs. Carl (Gladys) Fitzgerald, Kitchener. His funeral was held at Kitchener on Thursday afternoon with interment in Woodland Cemetery.

    REIBLING, Douglas Passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 after a brave struggle with cancer. Douglas resided all of his life at RR#2 Baden, where he was born 58 years ago. Beloved son of the late Milton and Ruby (Berg) Reibling. Missed by his brother Burton, his aunt Doris Berg and numerous cousins and friends. Douglas was predeceased by his uncles and aunts Lloyd Berg, Ralph Berg, Harry and Evelyn Reibling, Philip and Hilda Wagner, and Richard and Elvera Witherall. Doug enjoyed cutting and chopping wood, was a steady employee even after his cancer diagnosis and was a passionate Montreal Canadiens fan. Cremation has taken place. Doug will be laid to rest in the spring beside his father, grandfathers and great-grandfathers at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Philipsburg. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date come spring.
