Wideman, Lydia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hoffman, was born in Woolwich Twp., Ont., July 5, 1884; died at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, July 16, 1971; aged 87 y. 11 d. On Oct. 10, 1905, she was married to Noah Wideman, who preceded her in death in Feb. 1971. Surviving are 5 sons (Aaron, George, Henry, Emanuel, and Seranus), and one daughter (Mrs. Hettie Brubacher). She was a member of St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held July 18, in charge of Glenn Brubacher and Rufus Jutzi; interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery.

WIDEMAN, Emmanuel (Shorty) - Passed away, peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, December 22, 2003 at his residence, Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo, age 89 years. A retired 31 year employee of Sunarhauserman; member of First United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530. He served overseas during the Second World War with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. Loving husband of Alice Martha Wideman (nee Sainsbury). Dear Father of Nancy Bignell and her husband Bill of Kitchener and Barry Wideman of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Grandfather of William Ryan and Christopher Alan. Predeceased by his parents, Lydia and Noah Wideman; daughter-in-law, Peggy (June 22, 2003); sister, Hettie and brothers, Aaron, George, Henry and Seranus. Mr. Wideman's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, December 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, December 28 at 3 p.m. with Rev. WIDEMAN, Harold - Died peacefully at home with his family by his side, on August 30, 2009, after being recently diagnosed with cancer. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Delphine; beloved father of Brian(Lee), Fred (Caroline), Jeff (Mary); proud grandfather of Sarah and Rachel, Jacob, Nick and Sasha, Matthew, Mark and Meredith Maw. Harold spent most of his working career at Wallenstein Feed and Supply. After retirement he kept himself busy with golf and a number of charities. Merch will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife and best friend Barb (Weichel), daughters Heather and Robyn (son-in-law John Brett and family).
