    Wideman, Lydia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hoffman, was born in Woolwich Twp., Ont., July 5, 1884; died at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, July 16, 1971; aged 87 y. 11 d. On Oct. 10, 1905, she was married to Noah Wideman, who preceded her in death in Feb. 1971. Surviving are 5 sons (Aaron, George, Henry, Emanuel, and Seranus), and one daughter (Mrs. Hettie Brubacher). She was a member of St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held July 18, in charge of Glenn Brubacher and Rufus Jutzi; interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery.

    WIDEMAN, Emmanuel (Shorty) - Passed away, peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, December 22, 2003 at his residence, Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo, age 89 years. A retired 31 year employee of Sunarhauserman; member of First United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530. He served overseas during the Second World War with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. Loving husband of Alice Martha Wideman (nee Sainsbury). Dear Father of Nancy Bignell and her husband Bill of Kitchener and Barry Wideman of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Grandfather of William Ryan and Christopher Alan. Predeceased by his parents, Lydia and Noah Wideman; daughter-in-law, Peggy (June 22, 2003); sister, Hettie and brothers, Aaron, George, Henry and Seranus. Mr. Wideman's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, December 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, December 28 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Rick Hawley officiating. Following the service, friends are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments. Interment will take place Monday in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.     WIDEMAN, Harold - Died peacefully at home with his family by his side, on August 30, 2009, after being recently diagnosed with cancer. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Delphine; beloved father of Brian(Lee), Fred (Caroline), Jeff (Mary); proud grandfather of Sarah and Rachel, Jacob, Nick and Sasha, Matthew, Mark and Meredith Maw. Harold spent most of his working career at Wallenstein Feed and Supply. After retirement he kept himself busy with golf and a number of charities. Visitation will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home in Elmira, on Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the Elmira Mennonite Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2. Interment immediately following the service at the Hawkesville Cemetery. Those wishing to make donations in memory of Harold are asked to consider Mennonite Central Committee, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charitable organization of your choice.

    WIDEMAN, Rev. Clare - Died peacefully on May 29, 2009. Cherished husband of Lucille Wideman. Beloved father of Kevin (Melanie Rose-Wideman) and Bonita (David Hammond). Proud grandfather of Isaac, Connor and Renae. Dear brother of Dorothy (Bill Sittler), Ruby (Amsey Weber), Harold (Delphine), James (Christine), late Edgar (Beatrice), Carol (David Ringer) and Erma (Bob Martin). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Clare's ministry included pastoral care in the community and at the Regional Mental Health Care, London for 25 years. He was a valued professional mentor and colleague in his role as Supervisor in the Canadian Association for Pastoral Practice and Education (CAPPE). Clare volunteered his time on numerous boards including, Craigwood Youth Services, Ontario Association of Children's Mental Health Centres, Ontario Chaplains Association and Sydenham Community Credit Union. Visitations will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel , 709 Wonderland Road North, on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at Valleyview Mennonite Church, 1170 Melsandra Avenue, London, on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment immediately following the service.     Wideman.- T. Scott, son of Jim and Sharon (Block) Wideman, was born at Kitchener, Ont., Jan. 9, 1969; died as a result of a hayride accident near Elmira, Ont., Sept. 8, 1984; aged 15 y. Surviving are one brother (Trevor), 2 sisters (Sherilee and Cindy Lee), maternal grandmother (Mrs. Marion Block), and paternal grandparents (George and Elizabeth Wideman). He attended Hawkesville Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at Elmira Mennonite Church on Sept. 12, in charge of Gary Knarr and S. David Garber; interment in Hawkesville Community Cemetery.
