    Wagler, Harvey, son of Joseph and Mary (Lichti) Wagler, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., March 20, 1910; died at St. Mary's Hospital, July 24, 1962, from a heart condition; aged 52 y. 4 m. 4 d. He was married to Edna Wagler, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters and 8 sons (Mrs. Norman Harrison, Ruth, Milton, Delford, Delton, Ray, Harvey, Jr., Ervin, Laverne, and Edward), 2 brothers and 7 sisters (John, Alvin, Mrs. John Klassen, Mrs. Emmanuel Kuepfer, Mrs. Harold Cressman, Mrs. David Brunk, Mrs. Clinton Bechtel, Mrs. Aaron Horst, and Idella), and one grandchild. He was a member of the St. Agatha Church, where funeral services were held July 27, in charge of Gerald Schwartzentruber and Orland Gingerich.

    Harvey married Edna Wagler 15 Aug 1937. Edna (daughter of Aaron Z. Wagler and Leah R. Littwiller) was born 29 May 1909, Baden, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 7 Dec 1976, New Hamburg, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Saint Agatha Amish Mennonite Church, St. Agatha, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     Notes:

    WAGLER, Delton David - Suddenly, on Saturday, April 20, 1985, as the result of a car/truck accident, on Highway 86, west of Elmira, Delton David Wagler, of RR 3, Wellesley. Delton was born in Baden 44 years ago.

    He was the son of the late Harvey and Edna Wagler.

    He was the owner/operator of the Del Wagler Construction Ltd; he also had a great love for harness racing; he was the owner and trainer of many race horses; a member of the Ontario Harness Horseman's Association; also a member of the Wilmot Mennonite Church.

    Beloved husband of the former Mary Jean McGillawee of RR 3, Wellesley; dear father of Susan, Bonnie and Lisa, all at home; loving brother of Milton and Ray, both of Kitchener, Delford of RR 1, Wellesley, Harvey of Hickson, Ervin of RR 2, Baden, Laverne of the Canadian Armed Forces, Base Borden, Edward of Baden, Mary (Mrs. Norman Harrison) of New Dundee, Ruth (Mrs. Ray Gallan) of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Margaret McGillawee of New Hamburg. Also by 20 nieces and nephews and two great-nieces.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley. The family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, removal will be made to the Wilmot Mennonite Church, for the funeral service at 2 p.m., Rev. W.R. Stoltz will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

    Notes:

    Mary Eileen Harrison (Wagler), passed away at 11:00 a.m. Monday,May 2, 2022 in her 85th year. She was a resident of Nithview Long Term Care Home for over 6 years although she suffered for many years from dementia, while being cared for at home. Thankfully, she is now at peace and no longer being ravaged by this disease.

    Mary leaves behind her loving and devoted husband Norman, of over 63 years, who was by her side daily throughout her prolonged illness. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Christine (Jim), Robb (Maria), Mark (Danny), grandchildren Amy, Shannon (Phil), Dana (Mary-Catherine), Faith, Nik (Tat), Kristi (Zach) and great grandchildren, Rilyn, Paige and Clarke. She is predeceased by brothers Delton (Mary), Laverne (Sonya) and Delford (Evelyn). Mary is survived and will be missed by Milton, Ray, Harvey, Ervin, Ruth (Jim) and Ed (Sue) and her many nieces, nephews and their children.

    Mary lived a life of love, surrounded by family, friends and community. She was a Brownie Leader for years, volunteered at Planned Parenthood and held various jobs, including that of a school bus driver. Despite having only an eighth grade education, Mary put herself through college to become a social worker and began working at St. Monica House. Later she obtained a second certificate in gerontology and began working at RAISE Home Support (later called Community Support Connections), where she retired at age 62. She will always be remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her as kind, compassionate and caring.

    Mary's family would like to thank the staff at Nithview Home for their care and support these past years. Many thanks to those who took Mary, and the whole family, under their wings during her illness and passing. As well, there were a number of private PSWs who cared for Mary, and the family is especially grateful for the compassion and love shown by Mary-Catharine, Margot and Simijit.

    Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow with a private graveside service at the Union Cemetery, New Dundee.
    A live stream of the funeral will be available for those unable to attend. Masks are mandatory in the funeral home as per family request.

    A celebration of life is being planned for Saturday, June 11th at the New Dundee Community Centre. Details to follow.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family.
