    GINGERICH, Peter O. Of Baden, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Thursday, Aug. 30, 1973, born at Blake, Ont., October 9, 1889. He was a cheesemaker at Baden from 1920 until 1956. He is survived by four sons, Kenneth of Sarasota, Fla., Richard of Guelph, Willard and Raymond, both of Baden; also four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Ruby) Hammer, Mrs. Walter (Leona) Steinman, both of Baden, Mrs. Carl (Miriam) Oesch of Zurich and Elaine Brennan of Baden; also survived by one brother Enos Gingerich of Shakespeare; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; he was predeceased by his wife the former Barbara Gascho in 1960, and by two sisters and one brother.

    Resting at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, where friends will be received from 7:30 to 9:30 today and 3 to 5 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 on Saturday. The remains will be removed at noon on Sunday to the Steinman Mennonite Church where services will be held at 3 p.m., followed by in- terment in the church cemetery.

    Memorial contributions to the Mennonite Mission Board will be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    GINGERICH, Kenneth Ray February 1919 - June 2014 Sadly we announce the passing of Ken on June 15, 2014. Of Waterloo, formerly of Baden and Sarasota, Florida. Born and raised in Baden, Ken married Edith (Roth) Gingerich in 1941, celebrating their 73rd wedding anniversary one day before he died. He is survived by his wife Edith, two daughters, Karen (Ward) Zehr, Linda (John) Michalofsky, grandchildren Drew (Nancy), Shelley (Steve), Melissa (Gary), Jody (Jody Kuntz), Jessica (Jamie), ten great- grandchildren, Meaghan, Reed, Trent, Zachary and Christopher, Lauren, Sophia and Olivia, Chloe and Kennedy. He is survived by his siblings Leona Steinman (Walter), Ray (Betty) Gingerich, Elaine Cressman, and Richard (Dorothy) Gingerich. Sister-in-law Jean Gingerich, brother-in-law Carl Oesch and John (Lorna) Roth. Predeceased by parents Peter and Barbara (Gascho), sisters Ruby Hammer, Miriam Oesch, brother Willard Gingerich and brothers-in-law Len Cressman, Walter Hammer, Glenn Roth, Harley Roth, John Stere, sisters-in-law Grace Stere, Sweetie Gingerich and Lorene Roth. Ken was past master of the Masonic Lodge, member of the Shriners. Nothing slowed him down as he continued to put his talents to work with one invention after another. Ken worked all his life as an electrician and plumber and was an avid wood worker and gardener. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. Interment to follow in Steinmann Mennonite Cemetery, Baden. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Children's Shrine Hospital Burn Unit or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.     HAMMER, Ruby Catharine (Gingerich) - Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, September 30, 2007, at the Golden Years Nursing Home, Cambridge. Ruby was born in Baden 86 years ago, and was a daughter of the late Peter and Barbara (Gascho) Gingerich. Beloved wife of the late Walter Hammer who predeceased her March 15, 2007. Much loved mother of Cheryl and Murray Martin of Kitchener, and Sandra and Al Czernick of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Step-grandmother of Bryan Czernick, Jesse and Amanda Robins. Much loved sister of Ken and Edith Gingerich of Waterloo, Leona and Walter Steinman of Baden, Ray and Betty Gingerich of Tavistock, Jean Gingerich of Baden, Carl Oesch of Stratford, Elaine and Len Cressman of Baden, Richard and Dorothy Gingerich of Guelph; sister-in-law to Norma Hammer of Baden, and Norbert Quehl of St. Jacobs. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was a second mother to many. Ruby was predeceased by sister, Miriam Oesch; brother, Willard Gingerich, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Clarence Hammer and Eileen Quehl. Ruby was an active member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden. Relatives and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 3 p.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to 100 Huntley Street or Mennonite Central Committee.
