    WILLIAM HAHERMEHL

    After a brief illness William Habermehl, 75, of Breslau died Saturday, April 11, at K-W Hospital. Born in Wilmot Township he was a resident of Breslau since 1928. He farmed in Waterloo Township prior to coming to Breslau.

    He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Habermehl. His wife, the former Lilian Sauder, died six years ago.

    Surviving are three sons, Jerry of Breslau, Moses of Waterloo and William of Toronto, three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Henderson of Hamilton, Bermuda, Mrs. Merman (Catherine Hopf of Breslau and Mrs. Emil (Caroline) Kuschnereit of Kitchener; three brothers, Albert of St. Jacobs, John of Kitchener, and Levi of Walrous, Sask., and four sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Bartin of Preston, Mrs. Amande Brubacher and Mrs. Christian Kropf of Kitchener; and Mrs. Jacob Sauder of Breslau. There are six grandsons and one great grandson.

    William married Linean Souder 12 Jun 1907, Waterloo Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Linean (daughter of William Souder and Sophia Hagey) was born 27 Mar 1877, Waterloo Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 1953; was buried , Breslau Mennonite Cemetery, Breslau, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     HOPF, Katie Passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Pinehaven Nursing Home in Waterloo, at the age of 97. Mother of Don Hopf and his wife Linda. Loving grandmother of Donald Hopf and Kathy Germann and her husband Steve. Will be missed by extended family Annette Hauck and her husband Carl. Predeceased by her husband Herman Hopf; her parents Lillian Souder and William Habermehl; brothers, Moses, Jerry, and William Habermehl; sisters Carrie Kuschneriet and Barbara Weland. Katie was a devoted member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 50 years. According to Katie's wishes, there will be a private family memorial service to celebrate her life at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467.     Moses Habermehl, at the WestMount in Kitchener, on Saturday, August 2, 2008, at the age of 92 years. Devoted father of James Habermehl and his wife Donna. Loving grandfather of Terence Habermehl and Jody Warren and her husband, Marty. Great-grandfather of Samantha and Jessica Habermehl and Brett and Kelly Warren. Survived by his sister, Katie Hopf. Special uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Alice Sauve; his parents, Lillian Souder and William Habermehl; brothers, Jerry and William Habermehl and sisters, Carrie Kuschneriet and Barbara Weland. Moses worked at B.F. Goodrich for 35 years and was a member of Local 677. Retired for 30 years. Faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Moses enjoyed his time at Conestoga Lodge Retirement Centre and WestMount Nursing Home. The funeral service to celebrate Moses' life and faith will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John St. W., Waterloo, on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 1: 30 p.m., the Rev. Robert Krestick officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow the service. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Donations in Moses' memory may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church and can be arranged through the funeral home, 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Moses a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
