    Passed away suddenly at St. Joseph's Home. Guelph, on Monday, Oct. 27, 1975, Emma M. Seifried in her 77th year.

    Beloved wife of the late George L. Kurtz: dear mother of Roy of Ariss, Helen ( Mrs. Edward Christie ). Kathryn ( Mrs. Bill Edwards ), both of Guelph, Vincent of Ariss, Clare of Elmira, and Marjorie (Mrs. Kenneth DuVal) of Guelph: survived also by 15 grand-children: predeceased by a son. John: six brothers. Edward, Joseph, John. Henry, Stephen and Frederick, and three sisters, Mrs. Theresa Hahn. Mrs. Catherine Reitz and Mrs. Mary McGivney.

    Rested at the Gilbert Maclntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N.. Guelph. Funeral on Thursday morning, to St. Boniface Church, Maryhill, for requiem high mass at 10 o'clock. Interment St. Boniface cemetery. Maryhill. The rosary was recited on Wednesday evening, at 8 o'clock.

    At Home, on September 14, 2014, Kathryn I. Edwards, peacefully in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband Wilbert (Bill) Edwards (2000) and her parents George and Emma Kurtz. Dear mother of Paul and his wife Josie of Tillsonburg, Brenda and her husband Curtis Clairmont of Waterloo, and Douglas and his wife Anastasia of Guelph. Loved Grandma of Emily, Ian, Lindsey, and Samantha. She will be forever missed by her loving grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers John, Roy, and Clare. She will be greatly missed by her brother Vince (Grace) and her sisters Helen (Ted Christie) and Marjorie (late Ken DuVal). Also predeceased by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Archie and Betty Edwards, Freddy and Marjorie Edwards, and Iva Metcalfe. She will be greatly missed by many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A special thank you to Dr. William Goldsmith and Cathy and Heather from his staff; and to all the PSW's from CCAC. A special thank you to Marj for all her help. Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, for visitation on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a Catholic Women's League prayer at 3 p.m. and a vigil at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 10 a.m. Private cremation and burial of ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.     It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished Mom and best friend, Marjorie DuVal, at the age of 74, on May 12, 2016, at the home of her daughter, Deanna (Dave Lehman), and loving Taylor. Predeceased by her devoted husband Ken DuVal (2012). She is survived by her loving sister, Helen (Ted) Christie and brother, Vince (Grace) Kurtz. Predeceased by her parents, George and Emma Kurtz, brothers: Roy, John, and Clare Kurtz and sister: Kathryn Edwards. Fondly missed by many nieces, nephews, and numerous great friends.

    Marjorie was a gentle soul who lived for family. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Her legacy will live on through those she touched.

    At Marj's request there is no visitation. A memorial mass to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Make a Wish Foundation or to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
