Herbert Muratzke passed away on Friday, August 16th, 2013 at Freeport Health Centre, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Florence Evelyn (nee: Sparks) Muratzke of 68 years. Loving father of Paul Henry Muratzke of Kitchener and the late Louise Brooks (2012). Fondly remembered by son-in-law Arthur Brooks of Napanee and a sister-in-law Dolly Sparks of Kitchener. Cherished grandfather to Richard Brooks, Christine Millar, and Miranda Muratzke. Great-grandpa to Zachary, Thomas, and Matthew. Predeceased by his parents and siblings Alvina Zinkhan, Margaret Kechnie, Percy Muratzke, Gertrude (Forler) Vogt, and brother Edward in infancy.

Herbert's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. Funeral services will be conducted at Henry Walser Funeral Home on August 21st, 2013, at 11 am, immediately followed by a reception. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.

BROOKS, Louise Lorna (Muratzke) Loving wife of Arthur Brooks, passed away February 22, 2012. She was 64. Loving mother to son Richard and daughter Christine Millar (Dave). Grandmother to Thomas and Mathew Millar and Zachery Baarda (Richard's son). Greatly missed by her parents Evelyn and Herbert Muratzke and brother Paul all from Kitchener. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens, Highway 9, Breslau, in the Spring.
