    Rachel Sittler - Funeral service and burial took place Tuesday at the South Peel Mennonite meeting house for Rachel W. Sittler of Hawkesville. She died Saturday at K-W hospital at the age of 82.

    She was the widow of Josiah Sittler; mother of William W. of RR4, Elmira; Elizabeth W. Sittler of RR1, Elmira, Henry of St. Jacobs, Josiah of RR1 Britton; sister of Rebecca Brubacher of Elmira. One brother and seven sisters predeceased her.

    ZEHR, Solomon W.On Saturday, Jan. 20, 1979, at his home in Millbank. in Mornington Township 82 years ago, he was a son of the late Dabiel Zehr and the late Maria Wagler. He had farmed in the Millbank district, retiring to Millbank 15 years ago.

    Dear father of John K. Zehr of Toute 1, Newton and Rebecca (Mrs. Christian Kuepfer) of Route 1, Linwood and Susan Zehr of Route 1, Newton; brother of Cornelius and Daniel Zehr and Bena (Mrs. Solomom Albrecht), all of Route 1, Newton, Also survived by four grandchildren and eight step grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife the former Mary Kuepfer, July 13, 1957, and also by two brothers and six sisters.

    Visitation at the home of his son, John Zehr, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m. Bishop Clarence Kuepfer will officiate. Interment to follow in the 7th Line Amish Mennonite Cemetery, Wellesley Township.

    Zehr, Gideon, son of Daniel and Mary (Wagler) Zehr, was born Oct. 10, 1889, at Mornington Twp., Ont.; died of a heart attack on May 12, 1959, at Wellesley, Ont.; aged 69 y. 7 m. 2 d. He was married to Mary Schmidt, who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters (Lavina-Mrs. Milton Bender, Gowanstown, Ont.; Mary and Nancy, at home), 4 brothers and 3 sisters (Solomon, Linwood, Ont.; Jonathan and Katie, Milverton; Cornelius, Daniel, Mrs. Andrew Kuepfer, and Mrs. Solomon Albrecht, all of Newton, Ont.), and 3 grandchildren. He was a member of the Amish Mennonite, Private House, E. District. Funeral services at the home were in charge of Amos Z. Albrecht; burial in the Seventh Line Amish Cemetery, Wellesley.

    KUEPFER, Mrs. Andrew

    MILLBANK-Mrs. Andrew Kuepfer of RR 1, Newton, died Monday at her home. She was 61.

    The former Fannie Zehr, she was born in Mornington Township Oct, 25, 1908, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Zehr. She was an adherent of the Old Amish Mennonite faith.

    Mrs. Kuepfer was predeceased by her husband Sept. 20, 1964, and by one brother and five sisters.

    Surviving are four brothers and one sister, Solomon, Jonothon, Cornelius, Daniel and Mrs. Solomon (Bena) Albrecht, all of RR 1, Newton.
    Service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Zehr, by Bishop Amos Albrecht. Burial will be in the Amish Mennonite cemetery on the seventh line of Wellesley Township.

    May 30, 1942 - February 10, 2023

    It is with sadness that we share the news of Simeon's passing at the age of 80 on the morning of Friday, February 10, 2023, at Columbia Forest Long Term Care in Waterloo, where he lived for the past year. Simeon bravely faced health challenges after his cancer diagnosis several years ago. His passing was due to cardiac arrest caused by a heart attack with cancer being a contributing factor. Much loved son of the late Simeon W. and the late Mary Ann (Roth) Jantzi. Brother of Ruth Leis, Louise and her husband Ralph Gingerich, Bill Jantzi, Maryann and her husband Ralph Steckley. Predeceased by brothers John (in infancy), Wesley Jantzi and his partner Margo as well as his former wife Gail, Ken Jantzi and his wife Marjorie, brother-in-law Allen Leis and sister-in-law Lucille Jantzi. Simeon was part of a large extended family and will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Born on May 30, 1942 outside of Linwood on the family farm, Simeon continued to live there for many years prior to moving to Waterloo, Wellesley and then spending his final year at Columbia Forest Long Term Care in Waterloo. He was a carpenter by trade, specializing in framing, and enjoyed helping family and friends with small carpentry projects. For many years, he provided support and care to his widowed mother. His faith was strong, and he loved spending time discussing and researching family genealogy. We would like to express our thanks to the team of caregivers at Columbia Forest Long Term Care for their assistance provided to Simeon. A visitation will take place on Sunday, February 19th from 2 to 5 p.m. at Futher-Franklin Funeral Home, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley. A spring interment will take place at Rushes Cemetery.     JANTZI, Wesley Roy Passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Hospice Wellington, Guelph. Wes resided in McGregor, ON and was born 83 years ago in Wellesley Township. He was the son of the late Simeon and Mary Ann (Roth) Jantzi. Missed by his children Monica and Kevin Garside of Milton, Douglas Jantzi of Kitchener, Cheryl and Peter Garside of Drumbo, Barry and Charlotte Jantzi of Wellesley, Dana and Brent Hughes of Kitchener. Grandpa of Olivia, Kassandra, Kyle, Alicia, Kirk, Cameron, Keiran and great-grandpa of Kyra. Dear brother of Ruth Leis of Waterloo, Louise and Ralph Gingerich of R.R. # 1 St. Agatha, Bill and Lucille Jantzi of Milverton, Simeon Jantzi, Maryann and Ralph Steckley all of Wellesley. Wes was predeceased by his loving partner Margo Gobeil, first wife Gail Jantzi, brothers John in infancy, Ken and Marjorie Jantzi and brother-in-law Allen Leis.

    Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. Interment will take place prior to the funeral service at Rushes Cemetery, Wellesley Township on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Hospice Wellington, Guelph.     JANTZI, Orland July 9, 1940 - August 30, 2012 Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 72. Beloved husband and best friend of Eleanor of 49 years. Beloved father of Tom (Sherri) and Cynthia Clasper. Orland was a loving Grandpa and Papa to his three special grand-daughters, Candice, Jadyn and Chloe. Dear brother of Mel (Pat) Jantzi, Dorothy Roth, Esther (Mel) Harrison, Stan (Lisa) Jantzi. He is also survived by Eleanor's sisters and brothers Delphine (Mel) Zehr, Joy (Cornelius) Klassen, Kathy (Paul) Steckle, Chuck (Tanya) Erb, Marjorie Steckle, and Phil (Laurie) Erb. Predeceased by his parents Elias and Laura Jantzi, in-laws Mervin Roth, Gerald Steckle, Carol and Cyril Erb Gingerich, nephew Peter Hammer and niece Connie Steckle. Orland lived for his work as the owner and operator of Summer Breeze Heating and Air Conditioning. He enjoyed life and work to the fullest and never gave a thought to retirement. He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Kitchener. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday, September 3, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 4, from 1-2 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E., Kitchener. The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. at First Mennonite Church. Reception to follow in the church hall. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy to the family, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or the Heart and Stroke Foundation by contacting the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home at 519-745-8445 or at www.erbgood.com.
