SARARUS, Weston - On Sunday, March 22, 1992, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Weston Sararus, of New Dundee, age 81 years. Mr. Sararus was born October 29, 1910 in Blenheim Township on the farm which he later farmed for many years. He was a member of the New Dundee United Brethren in Christ Church, where he was a former lay leader, Sunday school teacher, member of the church choir and Harmonica Band and was also a member of the Adult Christian Endeavour Society. Mr. Sararus was also a former president and director of the Ayr Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Company and a member of the New Dundee Board of Trade. Beloved husband of Miriam (nee Hilborn) Sararus; loving father of Vaughn and her husband George Waddle of New Hamburg, Lynn and his wife Marilyn and Brian and his wife Carol, all of RR 1, New Dundee and Brad and his wife Glori of Guelph; much loved grandfather of Cathy Scheerer, Anne Moser, Eric, John, Dean and Rhonda Stemmler, Jane Anne and David Sararus, Dion, Adam and April Dawn Sararus and Larkin Sararus and Morgan and Sonnet Rosato. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren and one sister, Irene Main of RR 4, Bright. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Ilah Hallman and by his parents, Levi Sararus and the former Angeline Sherk. Relatives and friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home. 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made Wednesday, 1: 30 p.m. to the United Brethren in Christ Church, New Dundee, where visitation will continue until the funeral service at 3: 30 p.m., with Rev. Gordon Bauman officiating. Interment in the New Dundee Union Cemetery.

WADDLE, Vaughn (nee Sararus-Stemmler) Of New Hamburg, passed away early in the morning Monday, August 27, 2012 at the age of 76. Vaughn was the beloved wife of George Waddle (2008), loving mother to Cathleen (Barry) Scheerer, Anne (Gerry) Moser, Eric (Marietta) Stemmler, Dean (Stephanie) Stemmler, John (Louise) Stemmler and Rhonda (Terry) Stemmler. She was dearly loved by her 14 grandchildren Destiny (Tristan), Danielle (Errol), Ryan, Kristy (Richard), Aaron, Brandon, Michelle, Alex, Shawn, Madison and Ty as well as her great-grandchildren Patrick, Christopher, Noah, Keaton, Celena and Ella. Dear sister of Lynn (Marilyn) Sararus, Brian (Carol) Sararus and Brad Sararus. Predeceased by her first husband Clyde F. Shantz and her parents Weston and Ilah (Hallman) Sararus (Miriam Hilborn). Vaughn was born July 3, 1936 and raised on a farm just outside of New Dundee, Ontario. She was a school teacher, an accomplished pianist, gifted soloist, gardening enthusiast, an avid baker and a caring friend to many. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The family invites you to join with us to celebrate her life and memory Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the United Brethren in Christ Church, Main Street, New Dundee at 11: 00 a.m. Interment will follow in New Dundee Union Cemetery.
