    ROPP, Edna Edna Ropp, 77, of Tavistock, passed away in Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. She was born at Poole in Perth County on June 8, 1934, a daughter of the late William and Fannie (nee Zehr) Poole. Edna was a member of the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line. She is survived by her husband, Emerson Ropp, whom she married in Wellesley Township, Waterloo County on June 15, 1955; two children, Gloria and husband Mervin Ropp of Tavistock, Dale and wife Sara Ropp of R.R. #1 Tavistock; six grandchildren, Janna Lynn and husband Christopher Cressman, Ryan and wife Nicole Ropp; Nicole, Michael, Ashley and Thomas Ropp; three great-grandchildren, Naomi, Ava and Gibson Ropp. Edna was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her fourth great-grandchild, Baby Cressman. She is also survived by her brother, Clarence and wife Ethel Poole of R.R. #1, Milverton; her sister, Eileen and husband Robert Eickmeyer of R.R. #2, Mitchell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Madalena Poole of Wellesley, Wayne and Dorothy Lichti of Elmira, Hilda and Floyd Kropf of Tavistock, Mary Ropp of Stratford, Mary E. Ropp of New Hamburg. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ivan Poole and Lloyd Poole; one sister, Violet Lichti; two brothers-in-law, Henry Ropp and Stanley Ropp. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home , 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line, on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. Pastor Ray Martin will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th line. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 519-655-2431.
