    FORTENBACHER, Margaret (nee Wittmann) With her family around her bedside, Margaret passed away peacefully on December 2, 2018. Cherished wife of the late Vladimir Fortenbacher (2014), her husband and best friend of 55 years. Dear mother to her 12 children; Astrid (Henry Schlauch), Aron (Tamara McCarty), Carola (Jay Schlatter), Lydia (Todd Graf), Wanda (Roscoe Hilty), Ingrid, Rosanne (Dan Graf), Magdalena (Clint Schmidt), W. David, Johanna, Barbara (Arlyn Zollinger), and Miriam (Nathan Reutter). Oma will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sister of Jakob Wittmann and Florina Neu; and sister-in-law Anna Ivkovic, Rose (Joe Varga) and Mary Fortenbacher. Margaret will be missed by her nieces, nephews and many cousins. Predeceased by her parents Frederich and Magdalena Wittmann, her brother Frederich Jr. and sisters Magdalena and Herta whom she lost in the Mitrovica concentration camp; her granddaughter Virginia Schlauch. Margaret gave her life to the Lord at the age of 22 and was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church for 65 years. She was a great example of a God fearing woman to all who knew her, especially her family who will miss her stories of Neu Pasua, her laugh, and her generous and forgiving nature. Margaret's family will receive relatives and friends from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, 519-749-8467. The service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 9 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery followed by a reception in the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Apostolic Christian Church - Harvest Call (cards available at the funeral home).
