    HANEY, JOSEPH

    Of 72 Rife Ave. in Hespeler, on Sunday, April 7, 1968, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital in Galt, in his 72nd year. He had been ill only one day. Born in Puslinch Township on June 7, 1896, he was a son of the late James Haney and Martha Murnahan. He worked on threshing crews for the Paddocks throughout the township for many years and moved from the farm in 1962. Since then, he worked at Dominion Woollens and later at Artex Woolens. He retired from the latter firm in 1965. He was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Church and of the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, Catherine Freda Neubauer; one son, James of Hespeler; one daughter, Catherine (Mrs. Richard B. McMillan) of R. R. #2, Hespeler; and nine grandchildren. A daughter, Theresa, predeceased him in 1964. St. Mary of the Visitation Church for requiem mass at 9 on Wednesday. Celebrant was Father D. D. Simpson, pastor of the church. Numerous floral and spiritual tributes were received and the funeral was largely attended. Pallbearers: Patrick McLaughlin, William Murnahan, James MacGillivray, William Machin, Harold McLean and Frank Paddock. Interment in St. Mary of the Visitation Cemetery. O'Brien Funeral Home.

    HANEY, THERESA MARIE

    In declining health for some time, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital in Galt, on Thursday morning, January 16, 1964, in her 27th year. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Haney (nee Catherine Freda Neubauer) of 72 Rife Ave. in Hespeler. Sister of Catherine (Mrs. Richard McMillan Jr. ) of R. R. #2, Hespeler (Puslinch) and James of Hespeler. Miss Haney was born in Guelph. She had lived in Hespeler for about a year and previously in Puslinch Township. She was employed at Waterloo Textiles Ltd., until ill health forced her retirement about a year ago. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Visitation Church in Hespeler. Requiem mass at St. Mary of the Visitation Church in Hespeler at 10 on Mon., Jan. 20. Rev. D. D. Simpson was celebrant of high mass of requiem. Numerous floral and spiritual tributes were received. Casketbearers: James McGillivray and William Machin of Hespeler; Michael French and Richard McMillan Jr. of R. R. #2, Hespeler; Wayne Zimmerman of Galt; William Murnahan of R. R. #1, Guelph. Interment St. Mary of the Visitation Cemetery. Maurice J. O'Brien Funeral Home, Preston.
