    MRS. CHARLES E. YATES

    PRESTON, Sept. 7 A well-known Preston resident, Ida Agnes Andrich, widow of Charles E. Yates, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, early Sunday morning after an illness of three months. She was 73 years of age, Born in Elora, Mrs. Yates came to Preston 55 years ago and made her home here since that time, She was a member of St. Clement's R.C. Church, the Altar Society and the Catholic Women's League. Her husband predeceased her 32 years ago. Surviving are three sons, Fred and Elzear of Preston and Grosvenor of Detroit, one daughter, Mrs. C. N. Hill, of Preston, three brothers, Walter and Joseph, both of Portage La Prairie and Frank of Minedosa, Man. and two sisters, Sister M. Rock, of Kalamazoo, Mich., Sister M. Inez of Eaton Rapids, Mich. Nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. The remains are resting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hill, 546 Moore Street, Preston. Requiem high mass will be sung in St. Clement's R.C. Church on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.

    Of 550 Moore St., Preston, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Saturday, June 3, 1972, Rose Yates, beloved mother of Preston Herman of Louisville, Ky., in her 82nd year. Mrs. Hill was born in Preston and lived here all her life; member of St. Clement's Church; predeceased by her first husband, George Herman in 1931 and her second husband, Charles Hill in 1958. Also survived by one brother, Grosvenor of Allan Park, Mich.; also two grandchildren. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, until Monday morning, then to St. Ambrose RC Church, Galt, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Clement's cemetery, Preston.

    PRESTON— Elzear T. Yates, 524 Hamilton Street, died today at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 76. Mr. Yates was born in Preston and had resided here all his life. He had been in the insurance and real estate business here for many years. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, a former member of the local separate school board, a member of the Preston Royal Canadian Legion, the Chamber of Commerce, the Preston-Hespeler Rotary Club and had been active in many civic affairs in Preston. He had also been in the First World War. He was predeceased by his wife the former Edith MacGregor in 1958. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Carney of Kitchener, Mrs. Brian (Jean) O'Neill of Montreal, Mrs. John (Rita) Basko of Dundas; one brother, Grosvenor Yates of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Rose Hill of Preston and 10 grandchildren. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home where friends will be received Saturday and Sunday. Requiem mass will be at St. Clement's RC Church Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Clement's cemetery. The rosary will be recited Sunday at 7 p rn, at the funeral home.

    At the Toronto General Hospital, on Friday, Aug. 31, 1979, following a brief illness, in her 53rd year, Helen Yates, of 215 Chapel St., Kitchener. A member of St. Anne's RC Church, the Catholic Womens League and an assistant secretary of the Guidance Department of St. Mary's High School. Daughter of the late Elzear Yates and Edith MacGreggor. Surviving is her husband Frank; two sons, David of Longview, Alta. and Thomas of Kitchener; two daughters, Patricia (Mrs. Greg Paleczny) and Janis, both at Kitchener. Two sisters, Jean (Mrs. Brian O'Neill) of Montreal and Rita (Mrs. John Vasko) of Dundas and one grandchild, Drew Paleczny. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial mass at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, September 3 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at St. Anne's Parish Hall following the mass.
