    GEHIERE, Madeline - At St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, in her 95th year. Dear mother of Larry, Glen, Eugene, Suzette (John) Cukulin and Margaret Parsons. Predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Susan Lane; brothers, Eugene and Lawrence; and sister, Kathleen Lane. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Madeline was born in Preston, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of St. Clements RC Church and the CWL. Friends will be received at Barthel Funeral Home , 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 21, 2009 at St. Clements RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge at 10 a.m. Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society greatly appreciated by the family. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Sunday at 4 p.m. Condolences may be left at barthelfuneralhome.com

    LANE, Kathleen "Kay"

    Peacefully on Saturday February 11, 2006 at Hanning House in Cambridge in her 86th year. Survived by her sister, Madeline Gehiere of Cambridge. Always remembered by her nieces and nephews, Larry Gehiere, Glen Gehiere, Susette Cukulin, Margaret Parsons, Mary Garvy and many great-nieces and nephews. Kay was a retired employee of Hostess Foods, where she worked for 20 years. She was an avid bowler and a member of St. Clements R.C. Church and the C.W.L. Kay was a wonderful sister and will be deeply missed by her sister, Madeline. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd. Cambridge, on Tuesday, February 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A mass to celebrate Kay's life will take place at St. Clement's R.C. Church, 745 Duke Street Cambridge, at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Interment to follow in the St. Clement's R.C. Cemetery.
