Father of Dorothy (Mrs. Joseph Chapman) of Galt; Margaret (Mrs. Sam Mullan) of Stratford; Ruth (Mrs. Ray Hertel) of Preston. Service at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, corner Queen and Argyle Sts., Preston, on Thurs., Jan. 16 at 2.

    Clarence E. Currie

    GALT, Clarence Edward Currie, 52, of 33 Blair Rd., Galt, died Sunday, at his home. Born in Hespeler, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Currie of Preston. Be lived in Preston for 25 years and in Galt for the past 27 years. He was superintendent of the Savage Shoe Company here and a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Waterloo Golf and Country Club, Galt Curling Club, Galt Board of Trade, and the Shoe Superintendents and Foreman's Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Daisy Turner; his parents; one son, Ross E. at home; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Chapman of Galt, Mrs. Samuel (Margaret) Mullen of Stratford and Mrs. Raymond (Ruth) Hertel of Preston. The body is at Little's Funeral Home, where the funeral will be conducted tomorrow, at 3: 30 p.m., by Rev. R. A. Jackson. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Galt.

    Of 128 Chalmers St. N., Cambridge (G), on Monday Sept. 7, 1981, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 69th year. Dorothy Currie, beloved wife of Joseph Chapman, and dear mother of Don of Cambridge. Also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Magarert Mullan of Stratford and Mrs. Ruth Hertel of Cambridge. Predeceased by a brother, Clarence. Mrs. Chapman lived all her life in the Cambridge area; a member of the Grand River Valley Branch of the Clan Donald Society of Canada. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge. Funeral services on Wednesday, at the funeral home, at 2 p.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
