    Mrs. Palmer

    The former Mary Norrie, was born in London, England. She came to Canada in 1903 and in 1907 moved to Preston, where she lived ever since. She was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church here. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles William Palmer, in 1955 and also by one brother, Charles. Surviving are four sons, James of Preston, Harry of Galt, Leslie of Ilespeler and Reginald of Brampton, seven daughters, Annie at home, Mrs. Kate Gordon, Mrs. Harold (Doris) Reidel and Mrs. William (Constance) Lamber, all of Preston, Mrs. Gordon (Rose) McDonald of Brantford, Mrs. Stanley (Lillian) Crawford of Detroit and Charlotte of London, England: 30 grendchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Saturday, at 1 p.m. Rev. Thomas Lewis of St. Luke's Anglican Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

    PRESTON, James M. Palmer, 717 Hespeler St., died Monday, at South Waterloo Hospital. He was 67, Mr. Palmer was born in London, England. He had resided most of his life in Preston. He retired from Clare Brothers, Ltd. five years ago. He was affiliated with the Anglican church. Surviving are three brothers, Harry of Galt, Leslie of Hespeler and Reginald of Brampton. Six sisters, Mrs. Kate Gordon, Annie Palmer, Mrs. Harry (Doris) Reidel and Mrs William (Constance) Lambton, all of Preston, Mrs. Gordon (Rose) McDonald and Mrs. Stanley (Lillian) Krawford of Clair Shores, Mich. The body is at Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where a service will be conducted Thursday, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Park Lawn cemetery.

    Of Golden Years Nursing llome, on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1995, at her residence. Beloved wife of the late George W. Gordon (1960). Dear mother of Marilyn (Marl) and her husband John Smith of Cambridge. Loving grandmother to Lisa and Craig Smith of Cambridge and Tara Smith of Toronto. Also survived by three sisters, Rose and Gord MacDonald of Brantford, Lillian Krawford of Fort Myers, Fla. and Connie and William Lambert of Cambridge. Predeceased by her mother and father, Kate and Charles Palmer; four brothers, Jim, Leslie, Harry and Reginald and two sisters, Annie Palmer and Doris Reidel. Mrs. Gordon was born in Blair and had been a lifelong resident of Cambridge (Preston). At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A private family memorial service to take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

Mrs. Reidel, was born in Blair and lived all her life in the Cambridge area. Member of St. Clement's RC Church and the CWL. Friends will be received at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Monday, 7-9, Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Clement's Church, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
