    Steckley, Reuben
    \endash On Thursday, Aug. 29, 1991, at Stratford General Hospital, Reuben Steckley, of Millbank and formerly of RR 1, Millbank.

    He was born in Elma township 86 years ago, a son of the late Mose Steckley and the former Rachael Kuepfer. He was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, RR 2, Wellesley, where he had been a former trustee and a member of the food committee.

    Beloved husband of the former Clara Schwartzentruber whom he married June 8, 1932. Dear father of Kenneth at home, Sharon and her husband John Scheerer of Millbank. Sadly missed by two grandchildren, Jeff and Judy; one brother, Solomon and his wife Ella of Bluevale, Ont., and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Steckley, of Milverton.

    He was predeceased by one son, Eldon in 1982; one brother, Menno; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Ropp, Mrs. Mary Gerber, and Mrs. Laura Kipfer.

    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 9 Pacific Ave., Milverton, after 7 p.m. tonight (Friday) and until noon on Sunday, Sept. 1, 1991, when transfer will be made to Maple View Mennonite Church for the service at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Victor Dorsch officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

    Reuben married Clara Schwartzentruber 8 Jun 1932. Clara (daughter of David Schwartzentruber and Rebecca Kuepfer) was born 1909, Mornington Twp., Perth Co., Ontario, Canada; died 31 Dec 1991, Stratford, Perth Co., Ontario, Canada; was buried , Maple View Mennonite Cemetery, Wellesley Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     Passed away on Monday August 30, 2010 at Freeport Health Centre, Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Ken resided in Millbank and was born 74 years ago in Mornington Township. He was the son of the late Reuben & Clara (Schwartzentruber) Steckley

    Beloved brother of Sharon & husband John Scheerer of Millbank. Dear uncle and great-uncle of Jeff & wife Karen Scheerer & their children Jeremy & Owen, Judy & husband Ken Kent and their children Hayley & Lexi. Ken was predeceased by his brother Eldon in 1987.

    Ken was a member of Mapleview Mennonite Church, Wellesley and also the Milverton Snomobile Club. He enjoyed spending time at his trailer at Pine Lake, Bayfield.

    Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Wednesday September 1, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will be held on Thursday September 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mapleview Mennonite Church, Wellesley. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, Mapleview Mennonite Church Building Fund or the charity of one's choice.

    STECKLEY, Eldon Reuben\emdashPassed away suddenly, on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1987, at his home in Elmira, Eldon Reuben Steckley, formerly of Millbank, born in Mornington township, 45 years ago.

    He is the beloved son of Reuben and Clara Steckley of Millbank. He was a member of Maple View Mennonite Church; he was a real estate agent with Werner Real Estate Company in Waterloo.

    Beloved brother of Kenneth Steckley of Millbank and Sharon (Mrs. John Scheerer) of Millbank; beloved uncle of Jeffery and Judy Scheerer.
    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening (Thursday), from 7-9 and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. At 11 a.m. Saturday, removal will be made to Maple View Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2:30, Rev. Alvin Leis and Rev. Alan Nafziger will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

    Remembrances to the Western Ontario Conference of Ministries, or to the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family.
