FISCHER, Ruth (Tiegs) Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Walter Fischer (1995) and the late Wallace Tiegs (1965). Loving mother of Richard (Judy) Tiegs, Kathy (Ray) Voisin and Jim (Barb) Tiegs. Cherished grandmother of Matthew (Lori), Mark (Lori), Katie (Adam), Shelby (Brent) and Laura (Matthew) and great-grandmother of Max, Cole, Zoe, Sloane, Jax and Dominic. Step-mother to Wayne, Linda and the late John Fischer. Dear sister of Irene (Don) Gillard and predeceased by her parents, Rev. Frank and Anna Malinsky and step-mother Thusnelda and siblings Wilfred Lindsey, August Malinsky, Rev. Walter Malinsky, Grant Malinsky, Marie Ruppel and Vera Cook. Ruth was an active long time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Ruth's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (322 East Ave. Kitchener) followed by a reception at the church. Private family interment at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Holy Cross Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
