BRUBACHER, Orvie G. - Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2007, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Orvie G. Brubacher, in his 67th year, of Elmira. Beloved husband of Martha (Frey) Brubacher for 42 years. Loving and devoted father of Karen and Dan Bender of Hawkesville, Linda and Scott Gilland of Toronto, Dennis and Marie Brubacher of Elmira, Gloria and Rod Bauman of Elmira. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Garret and Sheldon Bender, Mya Gilland, Emma Brubacher, Alana and Carly Bauman. Brother of Melvin and Marie Brubacher, Vietta and Lloyd Martin, Earl and Eileen Brubacher. Predeceased by his parents, Aden and Elvina (Gingrich) Brubacher. Orvie was employed at Ziegler Electric for 28 years before he retired. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Floradale Mennonite Church on Wednesday, October 31 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Floradale Mennonite Church on Thursday, November 1, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Fred Redekop officiating. The casket will remain open in the church until 1: 45 p.m. Interment in Floradale Mennonite Cemetery. In his memory donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira.
