BERGEY, Mrs. Edna -- On Tuesday, Oct. 16, 1979, Mrs. Edna Bergey (Appel), of Nithview Home, New Hamburg, age 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Bergey, who predeceased her in 1965. She was a lifelong resident of New Hamburg and a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg, where she was a member of the UCW. Lovingly remembered by her son William G. Bergey of New Hamburg and her daughter Alice L. (Mrs. Ken Ferguson) of Iroquois; three grandchildren, Susan and Edith Bergey and Ross Ferguson. She was predeceased by her parents, the late Herman Appel and the former Johanna Umbach and one brother Lambert. Visitation at Omand-Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg after 2 p.m. today, until noon Thursday, Oct. 18, when removal will be made to Zion United Church for service at 2: 30 p.m., with Rev. Charles Rennie officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside cemetery, new Hamburg.

Loving wife of Ken Ferguson of Iroquois; dear mother of Ross and his wife Joan of Iroquois: loving grandmother of Jeff and his friend Tammy of Brockville. Survived by one brother, William and his wife Audrey Bergey of New Hamburg.

At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service was held at the Marsden & McLaughlin Funeral Home, Iroquois. Ont. on Sunday. Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday evening at the Zion United Church. Peel Street. BERGEY, William Glen - 1926-2008. After living a full and giving life, William Glen Bergey passed away on Wednesday April 16, 2008, at 81 years of age. Bill resided in Luther Village, Waterloo and was formerly of New Hamburg. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Audrey (Kline) Bergey whom he married October 6, 1960; his daughters, Susan and Liz and his sons-in-law, Robyn Landers and Wayne De Jong. Grandsons, Julian and Aiden loved their fishing buddy. Fondly remembered by brother-in-law, Robert Kline and wife Jean. Dear uncle of Ross (Joan) Ferguson, Bonnie (Peter) Aultman, Kim (Bevin) Otterbein and Wendy Prince. Also missing Uncle Bill's joking ways are great-nieces and nephews, Jeff, Justine, Kristen, Mary Ann, David, Daniel, Cory and Magen. His kind and generous nature will be remembered by his many friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Edna (Appel) Bergey; sister, Alice and husband Ken Ferguson and nephew, Andrew Prince. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will take place at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday April 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to First United Church, Waterloo or the Mennonite Central Committee through the funeral home. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will take place at later date in the chapel of Luther Village on the Park, Waterloo. The date and time of the Memorial Service will appear in a future edition of The Waterloo Region Record.
