Moravia, Sept. 21. - The funeral services of Mrs. J. K. Erb, who died at Willard asylum last week, were held Sunday afternoon at the M. E. church. Rev. W. H. Lyon officiated, assisted by Rev. Mr. Brown of Groton.

The deceased is survived by a husband and five children: Howard Erb, M. Frank Erb, George Erb, Mrs. Charles Hawley and Mrs. E. Hopkins.

Howard H. Erb, 88, Dies in Arizona

Howard H. Erb, 88, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Moravia, died Sunday night in Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix.

Born in Montville, he had lived in the Moravia area before moving to Arizona in 1961. He worked with his father, Jacob Erb, in a wool carding factory in Montville. He was a cabinetmaker and had a shop in Montville. At one time he was director of the woodworking shops in Auburn Prison. Before moving to Arizona, he was a real estate broker in Locke.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frank Kenyon of Phoenix, Ariz., a grandson and two greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held p.m. Thursday at the Wade Funeral Home, Moravia. Rev. Duanne Bell, pastor of Milan Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Moravia. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

GEORGE E. ERB, 89, of Tannery Road, Constantia, died Monday at Oneida City Hospital. A native of Moravia, Mr. Erb lived in Constantia 47 years. Before his retirement, he was employed by the Lamson Corp. 16 years.

Surviving are three nieces.

Services will be at' 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Watson Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Central Square, the Rev. Allan Lum officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Constantia United Methodist Church memorial fund.
