There passed away on Saturday morning, Mr. Valentine Heimpel at the home of his son, Mr. Jacob Heimpel near Mannheim. The deceased was a well known and respected retired farmer and has resided with his son for the past fourteen years. He was a resident for many years on a farm near Erbsville. There survive his wife. five sons and two daughters: John, Mary and Jacob near Mannheim, George of Heidelberg. Emma of Kitchener and Herb. and Henry of Waterloo.

Mr. Valentine Heimpel passed away on Saturday morning at the home of his son, Mr. Jacob Heimpel near Mannheim, at the age of 76 years. The deceased was a well-known and respected retired farmer and has resided with his son for the past 14 years. He was a resident for many years on a farm near Erbsville. He is survived by his wife, five sons and two daughters: John, Mary and Jacob near Mannheim, George of Heidelberg, Emma of Kitchener and Herbert and Henry of Waterloo. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon from the residence of Mr. Jacob Heimpel to the Mannheim cemetery.

The funeral of Miss Edith Heimpel of Heidelberg, victim of an auto accident one work ago today, was held yesterday and was largely attended. The funeral was held from the Letter and Dreisinger funeral home in Waterloo to the Lutheran church at Heidelberg where services were held. Burial was made in the Heidelberg cemetery.

Pall benzers were six cousins of the deceased, Clayton Kroutswelser, William Hahn. Karl Peppler, Lloyd Pappler. Nelson Heimpel and Clayton Heimpel.

The verdict of the coroner's jury which was handed down after forty minutes deliberation at the conclusion of the inquest on Tuesday afternoon ...

EDITH HEIMPEL SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES

Dies Four Days After Receiving Injuries in Car Accident.

Badly injured about the head, and suffering from internal injuries besides other wounds, Edith Heimpel, of Heidelberg passed away in the K.-W. Hospital on Friday, four days after the accident on the Heidelberg - St. Clements highway. Edgar Reidel, driver of the car, in which Miss Heimpel was a passenger, who was arrested after the accident, was released on a $1,000 bail, charged with criminal negligence.

According to the account given out by the police, Reidel, who was driving the car, owned by William Koebel of St. Clements, clipped off a rural mail box and then turned over in the ditch. Deceased was employed. in the home of Carl Damman, who also passed away last week. The victim of the accident is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Heimpel, two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Dietrich of Waterloo, and Roxie at home, three brothers, Roy of Water- loo and Percy and Howard at home. The funeral, which was largely at tended, was held on Sunday at the St. Peter's Lutheran church in Heidelberg, Interment taking place in the Heidelberg cemetery. Pall bearers were six cousins of the deceased, Clayton Kreutzwelser, William Rohn, Earl Peppler, Lloyd Peppler, Nelson Heimpel and Clayton Heimpel.

Norma is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna Sauder and her husband Orvie of Kitchener; two grandsons, John Marshall and his wife Brenda of London and Jeremy Marshall and his wife Monique of Corunna; great-grandchildren, Erin Marshall and Nicholas Serr; and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. WAGNER, Verna Pauline (Heimpel) Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28 2011 in her 88th year. Born on January 10, 1924 in Mannheim. Resided at Winston Park Nursing Home since April 2008. Loving wife of Pearlous (Bill) Wagner whom she married on May 6, 1944. Loving mother of Donna (Robert) Keating of Acton, Clifford (Evelyn) Wagner of Breslau, Janice (Gary) Meinzinger of Kitchener, Robert Wagner (Mylinda McCooeye) of Guelph. Mrs. Wagner will be sadly missed by 10 grand- children, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by sisters Annie Bowman of Kitchener and Vera Schleuter of Waterloo, sister-in-law Reta Heimpel of Kitchener and brother-in-law Clifford Kurt of Elora and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John (Martha Gerber) Heimpel, sisters Alice (Alex) Service, Mabel (John) Bruder, Jean Kurt and brother Orville Heimpel. Also brothers-in-law Walter Bowman, and Albert Schleuter, a sister and brother in infancy and granddaughter Laura Wagner in infancy. Mrs. Wagner was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Shantz Station until it closed. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Beloved husband of Rita for over 58 years; loved father of Larry (Jo), Jean (Wayne Smith), Marjorie (Lee Fitzpatrick), Leonard (Brenda) and the late Jody (2006) (Steve Glofcheskie); grandfather of Duane (Amy), Cory, Crystal (Joe), Tim, Marc (Tiffany), Alana, Derek, Buckley, Shawn, Kelsey, Patrick, Jennifer and Amanda (Curtis); cherished great-grandfather of Audrey, Madilyn and Summer. Brother of Annie Bowman, Vera Schlueter, Jean Kurt (Cliff), and Verna Wagner (Bill).

Predeceased by his parents John and Martha Heimpel; sisters Alice Service (Alex) and Mabel Bruder (John); and brothers-in-law Walter Bowman and Albert Schlueter.

Orville was a long time member of St. Agatha RC Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister for over 40 years.

He was employed by Uniroyal for 26 years and for the Waterloo District Catholic School Board for 17 years.

Orville was also a long time member of the Greenwood Rod and Gun Club, a member of the Waterloo Knights of Columbus since 2002 and a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530, Waterloo.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Orville with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday (June 16) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agatha RC Church, with Rev. Charles Fedy C.R. as Celebrant.

A reception will follow in the church hall.

Born June 4, 1932 at Mannheim. The youngest child of John and Martha (Gerber) Heimpel. On July 23, 1955 she married Clifford A. Kurt who survives her. They lived in Milverton until 1958 when they moved to Salem. In 1962 they moved to R.R. #2 Elora where she still resided. Clifford and Jean owned C.A. Kurt Milk Transport until 1996. Many employees remained like family to Jean. Dear mother of Cheryl and Bill Leighton of Mount Forest and their children Brianna Machin (Jeremey) and Tyler, Bill and Liz Kurt and their children Clifford Jr. (Summer) and their children William, Jacob and Caleb, and Penny Kurt and her friend Tom and their children Lucas and Allison, Debra Kurt and her son Derek Pryde, Wendy and Jim Driscoll and David and Noreen Kurt and their child Meghann and her children Hayley and Alia. Passed away peacefully, at The Westmount Long Term Care Centre, on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the age of 87 years.

Jean is survived by her three children, Debby (Dave) Grenfell, Cindy (Bill) Dubrick and Dan (Nan) Thomas, eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by her husband Murray in 2006, her parents Alfred and Esther (nee Heimpel) Dietrich, her two brothers Bill and Don and her sister Marlene in infancy.

Jean had a career as a Dental Assistant and enjoyed her time volunteering in a nursery school for children with special needs. Jean's family meant the world to her and she will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Jean's life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, Fireside Reception Room, 171 King Street S., Waterloo on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 3 \endash 5 pm.
