    MARTIN, Clayton

    On Sunday, June 6, 1976 at his home, Route 1, Elmira, aged 68 years. Beloved husband of Susanna Shoemaker: father of Earl of Route 2, Alma, Gordon of Parry Sound, Mrs. John (Florence) Metzger of St. Clements: Leonard of Route 1, Alma, Mrs. Orleon (Eileen) Martin of Route 2, Drayton, Merle of St. Jacobs: two sons, Orvie and Abner predeceased him, and two brothers: 35 grandchildren also survive. Brother of Alvin of Route 2, Drayton, Addison of Route 1, Elmira. Mrs. Ira Brubacher of Route 2, Wallenstein and Edwin of Hanover. Friends called at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor Elmira, until Wednesday at 9 a.m. when removal was made to his home for private service at 1 p.m. Removal then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    On Monday, May 31, at K-W Hospital, after injuries received in an accident, age 37 years. Beloved husband of Mary Martin of Route 1, Waterloo; son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Martin of Route 1, Elmira; father of Robert, Lucille, Shirley and Dale, all at home; brother of Earl of Route 2, Alma, Gordon of Parry Sound, Leonard of Route 1, Alma and Merle of St. Jacobs, Mrs. Orleon (Eileen) Martin of Route 2, Drayton, Mrs. John (Florence) Metzger of Route 1, St. Clements. Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira after today, until (Wednesday) noon, when removal will be made to Floradale Mennonite Church for funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial in the adjoining cemetery. Casket will be open in the church until 2: 45.

    METZGER, Florence (Martin) Of Wellesley, peacefully entered the presence of the Lord surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in her 70th year. Beloved wife of John for 46 years. Dear mother of Janice Shantz (Peter) of Listowel, Richard (Miriam) of Wellesley, Fred (Elsie) of Hesson, Scott (Charlene) of Kingwood, Joanne Martin (David) of Moorefield. Loving grandma of seven grandsons and seven granddaughters. Loved sister of Earl (Lena), Gordon (Edna), sister-in-law Mary, Leonard (Mildred), Eileen Martin (Orleon), Merle (Fern). Also lovingly remembered by her brother and sister-in-law Clayton Metzger (Alice) and Marie Gerber (Sam). She was predeceased by parents Clayton and Susannah Martin, brothers Orvie and Abner, and a granddaughter Samara. The family will receive their friends and relatives at Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, Hawkesville, on Friday, March 9th from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 10th from 2-6 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the Church, Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2: 30 p.m. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, RR1, St. Clements. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the Red Cross PSW team, the staff on the fifth floor of Grand River Hospital and all others who came into the home to lovingly care for Florence during her illness.
