Funeral of Patsy Reichard Held on Tuesday Afternoon

Death Claims Five-Year-Old Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Reichard

It is with deep sadness the death of little Miss Patsy Reichard is recorded and the many relatives and friends of the bereaved family were shocked to hear of her death on Sunday afternoon.

Four weeks ago Patsy contracted pneumonia and after a few days seemed to improve but later the other lung was affected. Early the next week she was afflicted with spinal meningitis and was taken to K-W hospital where every care and all possible was done to save her life. Four transfusions were necessary to keep the child fighting. Hopes were held for a time Patsy would have a chance but as she failed to react to treatment little could be done as this treatment is the only one known to bring results. Last week it was feared little hope could be held for recovery and on Sunday the little girl passed on.

It is sad to see so young a life taken and Patsy was a dear little girl and beloved by all who knew her.

The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon from Dreisinger's Funeral Chapel with a large number of friends and relatives present.

Rev. Malinsky of St. Paul's Lutheran church officiated at the service. Burial took place in the Elmira cemetery.

The four pall bearers were Jack Hoffer and Laurent Reichard, uncles to the deceased and Ben Seiling and Harold Blair, close friends of the family.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Reichard and one brother, Robert and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Reichard and Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Hoffer.
