    Roth, Fannie, daughter of John and Annie (Jantzi) Gerber, was born July 31,1897, Wilmont, Minn.; died March 14, 1959, at the Victoria Hospital, London, Ont.; aged 61 y. 6 m. 11 d. Married on Nov. 12, 1953, at Baden, Ont., to Christ Roth, who survives. Also surviving are 5 stepsons and 5 stepdaughters (Clarence, Newton, Ont.; Elmer and Lester, Brit ton, Ont.; Clayton, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Mervyn, Waterloo, Ont.; Irma- Mrs. Clayton Schultz, Milverton; Viola- Mrs. Abner Leis, Wellesley; Mildred- Mrs. Melvin Shantz, Alma; Gladys- Mrs. Jacob Spenler, Stratford; and Marjorie- Mrs. Ervin Albrecht, Copper Cliff), and one sister (Anna- Mrs. John Gascho). She was a member of the Riverdale A.M. Church, Millbank, Ont., where funeral services were held March 18 in charge of Menno Zehr and David Jantzi; interment in the Nafziger A.M. Cemetery.

    BAST, Norma (nee Gascho) The family announces with sorrow her passing in Sudbury on Monday, March 17, 2014, at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of Mahlon Bast. Beloved daughter of the late John S. and the late Annie (nee Gerber) Gascho. Loving mother of Arthur (Susan) of Sudbury, Donald (Marja) and Marilyn Reimer (Paul) both of St. Charles and Gerry (Jill) of Calgary. Dear sister of Edith Wagler (Earl) of Millbank. Predeceased by her brothers Allen (Anna Mae of Millbank), Mervin (Mary of Milverton), Ivan (Doris of Kitchener) and John (Ellanore of Edmonton). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grand-children, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her granddaughter Caroleen. The family will receive relatives and friends, Friday, March 21, 2014 after 11 a.m. at the Waters Mennonite Church in Lively. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. followed by interment in the Waters Cemetery, Lively. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.

    IVAN GASCHO 1932 - 2006 Passed away peacefully, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Monday, May 8, 2006, at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband for 50 years of Doris Gascho (nee Gingrich). Loving father of Fay Gascho and her husband Andre Bernier of Petersburg, Jeanette Gascho and her husband Scott Nicoll of Waterloo, and Christine Gascho and her husband Steve Bradley of Whitby. Proud and loving grandfather of Maya, Myles and Morgan Bernier, Amy (studying in Australia), Ilia (currently in the Netherlands), Jake and Billy Nicoll. He is survived by his sisters, Norma and her husband Maholn Bast of Lively, Edith and her husband Earl Wagler of Millbank; brother, John Gascho and his wife Ellanore Turner of Edmonton, as well as sisters-in-law, Mary Gascho of Milverton and Anna Mae Gascho of Brunner and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Annie and John S. Gascho and brothers, Allan (2005) and Mervin (1999) Gascho. Since retiring from First Mennonite as groundskeeper, Ivan spent his days at the family farm, Idlewild. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ivan with his family during visitation at First Mennonite Church, 800 King Street East, Kitchener on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Ivan's life and faith will be held at First Mennonite Church on Friday May 12, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gary Knarr and Rev. Catherine Hunsburger officiating. Cremation will follow. Special thanks to the wonderful staff in ICU and the 6th Floor of St. Mary's Hospital for their compassionate care in the last two weeks.
