    Honderich, Delford Austin - On Thursday, July 25, 1985, at K-W Hospital, Kitchener, Delford Honderich, of 134 Snyder's Rd., Baden, aged 86 years. He was born in Wilmot township, a son of the late Abram Honderich and the former Lydia Shantz. He was an adherent of the North Easthope Reformed Mennonite Church; a member of the Wilmot Rod and Gun Club; a member of the Especially for Seniors, Baden and was an avid sportsman

    Beloved husband of the former Alice Hiller, who predeceased him in February of 1965. Sadly missed by his children, Marlene (Mrs. Allan Parker) of Toronto, Ronald and his wife Melba, Calvin and his wife Madeline, all of New Hamburg, Stuart and his wife Shelley of Baden; his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mary Bebes of Apple Hill, Ont. Dear brother of Flyod and Cameron, both of RR 2, New Hamburg, Mrs. Vera Beaudoin, Mrs. Violet Stueck, both of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Delford was also predeceased by one son, Glenn in 1966; one brother, Earl and one sister, Mrs. Ada Heimbecker. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 2 o'clock on Friday and until Saturday at noon, when transfer will be made to the North Easthope Reformed Mennonite Church for service at 2 o'clock p.m., with Rev. Robert Beehler and Rev. Ed Bankert officiating. Internment to follow in the Wilmot Reformed Mennonite cemetery, RR 2, Baden. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

    It is with very heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing at his home Nithview Village, New Hamburg, with his family by his side on Sunday September 30, 2007 after courageous battle with cancer for the last two and half years. Ron was born 77 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of the late Delford and Alice (Hiller) Honderich. Survived by his loving wife Melba (nee Mair) of 57 years. Loving father to his son Laurie and wife Nancy Honderich, daughters Wendy and husband Rich Held, Brenda and husband Paul Carney all of New Hamburg and Debbie Snyder and friend Jim Miller of Wellesley. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Brad (Sue) Honderich, Lisa (Paul) Holba, Melanie (Mike) Eichler, Stephanie Taves, Jennifer Scott (Kevin), Kris Carney (Trish), Amanda Carney, Tara (Dave) Kleine, Christina (Dave) Flood. Papa Ron to eight great-grandsons, Brady and Cooper Honderich, Colton Holba, Kaden Eichler, Tyler and Logan Kleine, Jacob and Montana Flood. Also remembered by his brother, Calvin (Madeline) Honderich; sister, Marlene (Alan) Parker; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley Honderich, Reta (Tristano) Langenegger, Gordon (Pat) Mair and many nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by brothers, Glen (Bevis) Honderich and Stuart Honderich. Ron was a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg, the Restless Seniors and Wilmot Senior Shuffleboard. Ron enjoyed all the great times with family and enjoyed all sports with ball, hockey and golf being the favorites. He carved many beautiful carvings at the Wilmot Woodworking in Baden. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Tuesday October 2, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday October 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Zion United Church, New Hamburg with Pastor Bob Thaler officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Zion United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to Dr. Donna Ward, Lisa, Kelly and Palliative Care for all your support to make it possible for Ron to be at home these last few weeks.

    Stuart Honderich, 73, of Baden, passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving family on February 9, 2005, after a short stay at K-W Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. He was born on October 19, 1931, in Wilmot Township. Beloved husband of Shirley (Wettlaufer) Honderich. Loving father of Cathy and her husband John Young of Camlachie and Susan and her husband Gord Mills of New Hamburg. Dear brother of Ronald (Melba) Honderich, Calvin (Madeline) Honderich, Marlene (Allan) Parker and brother-in-law of Jean (Ernie) Faulhafer. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Delford and Alice (Hiller) Honderich; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Babes Honderich; and a cherished granddaughter, Hannah Young (February 3, 2005). Stuart was employed at J.M. Schneider Limited for 33 years and a member of the 25 year club. He was active in his church, Zion Lutheran Church in Philipsburg, where he served previously on church council. He was a charter member and past president of the Baden Optimist Club, active in the Wilmot Seniors Woodcarving Club, a member of the Wilmot Heritage Fire Brigade, enjoyed coaching minor softball and hockey and was a loyal Detroit Red Wings fan. He will always be remembered for his kind and gentle manner and his love of the outdoors, sports, music and gardening. There will be no funeral home visitation. A private family service will be held with interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Philipsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ChildCan or the Optimist Childhood Cancer Campaign through the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg. (519-662-1661)

He was born 79 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of the late Delford and Alice (Hiller) Honderich. Beloved husband of Madeline (Schaaf) Honderich whom he married March 26, 1960. Loving father of Steven Honderich of Wilberforce, Mark and Christine Honderich of Guelph and Dean and Christine Honderich of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jodie, Brooke, Nichole, Zachary, Claire, Cassandra, Natasha and great-granddaughters Mackenzie, Madison, Alexandra and Lily. Remembered by his sister Marlene and Alan Parker of Toronto, sisters-in-law Melba Honderich of New Hamburg, Shirley Honderich of Baden, brother-in-law Ernest and wife Elaine Tallman of Dorchester and many nieces and nephews. Cal was predeceased by his brothers Glenn and wife Bebes Honderich, Ronald Honderich and Stuart Honderich. Cal was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg and former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. He had been active in both minor softball and hockey in New Hamburg, helping coach, referee and umpire. He played many games of horseshoes over the years in the area. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg tonight (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. again Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will take place on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev.
