    CASSEL, Aleda Peacefully on January 6, 2018, at Fairview Mennonite Home in her 104th year. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth Cassel in 1975. Survived by her 7 children, Elaine, Don (Barb), Bob (Phyllis), Ruth Ann Chester (Leonard), Karen, Martha Heise (Ken) and Mary Wiens (Jake), her 10 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren. Also predeceased by her 5 siblings, Luana Wismer, Naomi Cressman, Erma Cressman, Earl Cressman and Ruth Thomas. Aleda was a well-known artist in her community and her paintings and quilts will continue to be appreciated by family and friends for many years to come. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation at Fairview Mennonite Home (515 Langs Dr. Cambridge, ON) on Saturday, January 13th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. The family is very grateful for the staff and volunteers of Fairview Mennonite Home for their wonderful care, support, and love given to Mom over the 40 years she lived there. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Aleda's memory may be made to Fairview Mennonite Home.
