Mrs. Roy Osgood

PRESTON, Mrs. Roy E. Osgood, 85, of 1608 Concession Rd., Preston, died Saturday at Coutts Pavilion, Kitchener. Mrs. Osgood was the former Jean Hagey and was born at Port Elgin. She had been a resident of Preston for 75 years and was a member of St. Paul's United Church, the Golden Rule Bible Class, Preston Women's Institute, the Red Cross and former member of Preston Lawn Bowling Club. She was an active bowler while in Florida. She was prededeased by her husband. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Gladys) Morlock and Mrs. Preston (Mable) Graham, both of Preston; one brother, Henry of Brantford; two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Hilborn and Mrs. Catherine Ross both of Preston, and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body is at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where the funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Preston Park Lawn, Cemetery. Rev. A. I. Waters of St. Paul's United Church will officiate.

At her residence, 43 Fallbrook Lane, Cambridge, on Sunday, Sept. 20, 1992, Mabel E. Osgoode, beloved wife of the late E. Preston Graham, in her 89th year. Dear mother of Edward R. and his wife Eleanor of Cambridge, Barbara and her husband Robert Peel of Bobcaygeon, Ont. Loving grandmother of five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one sister, Gladys. Mrs. Graham was the co-founder of the Knotty Pine Coffee Shop and for many years was the mainstay at the Kress Hotel in Cambridge (P). A life-long resident of the Cambridge (P) area. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 1: 30 p.m., Rev. Peter Wesley officiating. Interment in Preston Cemetery.
