    ELLIG, Wayne J.

    At St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph, on Thursday, July 13, 1978, suddenly as the result of a heart attack, Wayne Joseph Ellig of Route 1, Ariss, aged 32 years.

    A member of St. Boniface RC Church. the Maryhill Knights of Columbus, very active in sports in the Maryhill and Ariss areas all his life. Had been employed with Sieling Canteen of Elmira for the past 13 years.

    Paternal grandson of Mr. Alfred Ellig of Ariss; son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Ellig of Route 1, Ariss. Husband of the former Linda Lee Berwick; father of Bradley and Kimberly, at home: brother of Mrs. Brendon (Brenda) Doherty and Cathy Ellig, both of Route 1. Ariss. Predeceased by his paternal grandmother and his maternal grandparents.

    Friends called at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 2 p.m. on Saturday, where the parish prayers were said on Sunday at 8 p.m. followed by the Knights of Columbus Scripture service at 8:30. Prayers were said at the funeral home on Monday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Boniface Church at 11, with Rev. John Lawless officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, Maryhill.
