    Notes:

    Following a long and painful illness from that dreaded disease cancer there passed away at her home in Wellesley on Thursday, Nov. 24th, Catharine Fink, beloved wife of Mr. Robert Sanders, in her 63rd year. Although confined to her bed for five months previous to her death she was a patient sufferer and trusted faithfully in eternal rest. She was married to her surviving husband on Dec. 26th, 1888, the union was blessed with two sons and five daughters; namely: J. H. Sanders, Waterloo, and Robert at home; Alice (Mrs. H. Frankln), Maryboro' Township; Pearl (Mrs. G. Daniells), Windsor; Mary Ann (Mrs. John Duench), Milverton; Ethel (Mrs. H. Underwood), Bridgeport, and Florence at home. Three sons died in infancy. Thirteen grandchildren and three brothers, George, Henry and Duncan Fink and two sisters, Mrs. Pieper and Mrs. H. Miller also survive. She was born in Wellesley Township where she lived all her life and was a devoted member of the Evangelical Church in which she was an earnest worker. As a kind and loving mother the welfare of her family was always to her an important factor. The funeral which was conducted by Rev. Henrich, of North Easthope, took place from the family residence on Sunday, Nov. 27th, to the third line cemetery. The remains were borne to the grave by her son, J. A. Sanders, and five sons-in-law. She is gone from our sight but in our memory she still lives.

    Catherine married Robert Sanders 26 Dec 1888.     Visitation at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, after 2 pm today (Monday), where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday morning at 11 am, followed by interment in the Linwood Union Cemetery.

    Gloria Jean Turel, 15-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford M. Turel, of 206 Lester St., Waterloo, died today at Toronto Western Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Waterloo, she was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church and sang in the Young Ladies Chorus. She was a member of the senior high youth group. Surviving are her parents - her mother was the former Jean E. Underwood; paternal grandfather, Roy Turel of Waterloo; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Underwood of Bridgeport.

    The body will be at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home from Sunday noon. Service will be conducted at the funeral home at 3: 30 p.m. Tuesday by Rev. H.L. Brox. Burial will be in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Emmanuel EUB Church building fund will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
