    Notes:

    Christian Kropf, 79, died early yesterday at his late residence, 54 West Ave., following a lengthy illness. Born Oct. 14, 1865 in Wilmot Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kropf. He attended St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Surviving besides his wife, the former Annie Schuster, are one son, Gordon of Kitchener; a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Schacht of Kitchener, two brothers, Joseph of Port Huron, Mich., and Noah of Elmira; also a sister, Mrs. Henry Kinsie of Kitchener. Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Remains are resting at the late residence, 54 West Ave., from where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1: 30 p.m. followed by a church service at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church at 2p.m. Burial will be made in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. Dr. John Schneider, pastor of the church will officiate.

    Mrs. Henry D. Kinzie, 87, of 247 Franklin Ave., died there Sunday after a brief illness. She was the former Mattie Krupp, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Krupp of Baden, and had lived in the Twin Cities for the past 42 years. Mrs. Kinzie was a member of Kitchener Pentecostal Tabernacle. Her husband died in October, 1960. Surviving are two sons, Stanley J. and Ivan N. of Kitchener, two daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Dorothy) Snider of Waterloo and Mrs. Charles (Ethel) Mallett of Markham, a brother, Noah Krupp of Coquitlam, B.C., nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Three brothers predeceased her. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the service will be conducted at 3: 30 p.m. Tuesday by Rev. G. B. Griffin. Burial will be in First Mennonite Cemetery.

Coquitlam, B.C. formerly of Elmira, at the New Westminster Hospital, B.C. in his 90th year, husband of the late Rose King, father of Mrs. Terry (Gertrude) Lorway of Willowdale and Mrs. Graham (Bernice) Lavery of Pt.     Following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Henry C. Schacht, 54, of 135 Homewood Ave., died at St. Mary's Hospital late last night. The former Clara E. Kropf she was the daughter of Mrs. Annie Kropf, Kitchener, and the late Christian Kropf and was born at Kitchener, May 19, 1882. He marriage to Henry Schacht, who survives, took place at Kitchener, June 5, 1912. Surviving besides her husband and mother are two sons, Clayton and Percy J., both of Kitchener; one grandson and one brother, Gordon Krupp, Kitchener. The remains are resting at the late residence, 135 Homewood Ave., where the funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Internment will be made in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

    Funeral service will be held for Charles S. Krupp, 58, of RR 4, Kitchener, who died Saturday at his home suddenly after a heart attack. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where Rev. Bruce Seebach will conduct the 2 p.m. service. Burial will be in Union cemetery, Elmira. Born in Elmira, Dec. 27, 1912, he was a son of Noe Krupp of Port Coquitlam, B.C., and the late Mrs. Krupp. He was a lifelong resident of the Twin City area and was employed at General Spring Co. Ltd., Kitchener for 20 years before illness forced him to retire in July, 1970. Once active with St. John Ambulance, he was a member of Calvary Memorial United Church. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Kehl, whom he married in Kitchener in 1938; three sons, David and Donald, both of Kitchener, and Robert at home; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Lois) Schulz of Toronto; two sisters, Mrs. Terrance (Gertrude) Lorway of Willowdale and Mrs. Graham (Bernice) Lavery of Port Coquitlam, B.C.; four grandchildren.

Mr. Schacht served in the Canadian Army as a Sergeant, was a charter member and former president of the Dundas Optimist Club, a former member of the Milverton Lions Club and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 509 Kitchener. Beloved husband of Olive (nee Koch); dear father of Brian of Brantford, Cammie and his wife Barbara of London, Ont. Loving grandfather of Cindi Marie, Karen and Stephen.     Clayton Schacht

    A lifelong resident of Kitchener, Clayton Schacht, 45, of 948 King St. East, died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Born Feb. 20, 1913, he was the son of Mr. Henry Schacht and the late Mrs. Schacht. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was employed in shoe manufacturing. He married the former Hilda Warnholtz in 1943 and she survives. Also surviving is one brother, Percy, of Dundas. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted by Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt on Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.1a

    Krupp, Robert "Bob" 1927-2008 - at the Eventide Home, at the age of 81. Bob was born in Stratford on March 21, 1927. He moved to Kitchener in 1929, with his parents and siblings. He attended and graduated high school at KCI and belonged to the Sea Cadet's for a time. Bob started a long career with hydro in 1947, beginning at P.U.C. in Kitchener. One year later he married the love of his life Anne Buding. They spent 57 years together before her death in 2005. In 1959 Bob and his brother bought the "Krupp Game Farm", they poured their hearts into this successful adventure. Bob retired from hydro in 1985. He loved to play golf and enjoyed a good game of pool. He also enjoyed boating. Bob had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and make others laugh with his stories and jokes. Bob was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Jack and his youngest brother, Keith. Bob will be greatly missed by his sister, Janet Bauer (Don); sister-in-law, Marilyn Krupp; brother-in-law, Joseph Buding (Deloris) and many nieces and nephews. He was a great uncle and advisor. Many thanks to Dr. Jagas and the nurses and staff at the Salvation Army, A.R. Goudie, Eventide Home. A celebration of his rewarding life will be held at David MacLeod Funeral Home , 617 King St., N., Waterloo on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donation to the Parkinson Society Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519-888-7700.
