    FRANK J. PAETZ DIES SUDDENLY

Popular Young Business Man Succumbs To Heart Attack While In Toronto

Frank J. Paetz, manager of Mr Callum's store in Preston, died suddenly yesterday afternoon in Toronto, as a result of a heart attack. Business men and residents of Preston generally learned with deep regret of his passing. His death occurred in a Queen City store where he had gone to buy a soft drink. Known to almost everyone in Preston and a great many in Kitchener, where he was born 38 years ago, the late Mr. Paetz, had been a resident here for about 15 years. He had come to town to take over the tobacco and sporting goods business owned by J. J. MacCallum, Limited, Kitchener. Prior to assuming the managership of the local store he had been with his employers in Kitchener. He had started in the business after leaving school and had been with the firm his entire business lifetime, being interested financially. Although he did not take an active part in the administration of the town, his name had been mentioned various times for an aldermanic seat. In sport he was a keen enthusiast and gave freely of his time and money in the interests of the amateur game. A new organisation always found Frank Paetz a willing helper and a true friend. His advice to sport associations was valued. Twelve years ago the deceased married Miss Anna Winterhalt, daughter of a wellknown Preston family. Of the union were born five children, Rita, Marjorie, Clarabelle, Virginia and Helen. There also survives his mother, Mrs. Paetz of Kitchener; one brother, Ed, of Kitchener and three sisters, Mrs. Earl Martin, Mrs. Oscar Schmidt, Kitchener and Miss Freda who resides with her mother. The funeral will take place Saturday morning at 9.45 p.m. o'clock from the late residence, 732 Vine street, Preston, to St. Clement's church for mass at 10 o'clock. Rev. P. J. Meyer will officiate. Interment will be made In the R. C. cemetery at Preston.
