    [HELEN FREY] 1918 - 2005 Passed away peacefully, at Parkwood Mennonite Home on Sunday, January 2, 2005, at the age of 86 years. Helen is survived by a son, Laverne Frey of Campbell River, B.C.; two daughters, Shirley (Hendrik) Duivenbode of Innerkip and Karen Boutillier of Naniamo, B.C.; six grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren

    Helen married Urias M. Frey 11 May 1938. Urias (son of Menno S. Frey and Leah B. Martin) was born 16 Feb 1911, Woolwich Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 28 May 1979, Waterloo City, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery, Waterloo City, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     FREY, Laverne 1940 - 2012 aka "Big Daddy" Passed away peacefully at Campbell River Hospital, B.C., Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the age of 71 years. Laverne is survived by a son, Shawn Grey (Colleen) of Waterloo, Ontario, a daughter, Pamela Martin (Leon) of Elmira, Ontario. Grandchildren Candice Beacom-Frey, Zackery Frey, Brooke Frey, Kylee Martin, sisters Shirley (Hendrik) Duivenbode of Innerkip and Karen Boutillier of Nanaimo, B.C. Laverne was predeceased by his parents Urias and Helen Frey, brother Gerald Frey, grandson Anthony Beacom-Frey. The family would like to invite friends and extended family to come share their memories of Laverne at the Drayton Royal Canadian Legion on March 31, 2012 from 1-5 p.m., Elm Street, Drayton, Ontario.

    Frey, Gerald, son of Urias and Helen (Weber) Frey, was born at Kitchener, Ont., Sept. 1, 1956; died in a snowmobile accident at Waterloo, Ont., Dec. 16, 1973; aged 17 y. 3 m. 15 d. Surviving are one brother (Laverne), 2 sisters (Shirley-Mrs. Uwe Kroll and Karen), and his maternal grandmother (Mrs. Geneva Weber). Funeral services were held at the Erb Street Mennonite Church on Dec. 19, in charge of Galen Johns; interment in the Erb Street Cemetery
